We investigated conversion rates of androgens to estrogens in cultured, hormone-responsive prostate (LNCaP) and breast (MCF-7) human cancer cells. For this purpose, we adopted an intact cell analysis, whereby cells were incubated for different incubation times in the presence of close-to-physiological (1 nM) or supraphysiological (1 μM) concentrations of labelled androgen precursors, i.e. testosterone (T) and androstenedione (Δ4Ad). Synthetic multivalent glycopeptide-lipopeptide antitumor vaccines: impact of the cluster effect on the killing of tumor cells.

Multivalent synthetic vaccines were obtained by solid-phase synthesis of tumor-associated MUC1 glycopeptide antigens and their coupling to a Pam3 Cys lipopeptide through click reactions. These vaccines elicited immune responses in mice without the use of any external adjuvant. The vaccine containing four copies of a MUC1 sialyl-TN antigen showed a significant cluster effect. It induced in mice prevailing IgG2a antibodies, which bind to MCF-7 breast tumor cells and initiate the killing of these tumor cells by activation of the complement-dependent cytotoxicity complex.

Tutkimuksessamme kuvaamme, kuinka Euroopan unionin ilmastopoliittista lulucf-asetusta on kehystetty Maaseudun Tulevaisuuden ja Yleisradion verkkouutisissa syys–lokakuussa 2017. Tutkimuksemme teoreettinen viitekehys on ympäristöjournalismissa. Lisäksi taustoitamme asetuksen ympärillä käytyä keskustelua suomalaisen metsäkeskustelun historiallisilla näkökulmilla. Käytimme analyysimenetelmänä kehysanalyysia. Analyysimme tuloksena huomasimme, että lulucfasetuksesta keskustelua kehystetään ensisijaisesti kiistan kehyksen kautta. Līdz šim literatūrā nav ziņojumu par ccfDNA un cirkulējošo miRNS izpēti HA pacientu plazmā. Darbā tika novērtēta iespējamība detektēt HA izcelsmes ccfDNA plazmā, veicot mērķētu NGS pozīcijās, kuras saturēja HA somatiskās mutācijas, un veikts pētījums par miRNS sastāva izmaiņu detektēšanu plazmā 24 stundas pēc HA rezekcijas. HA eksomos atklātās somatiskās mutācijas tikai detektētas septiņās no 16 pārbaudītajām pozīcijām ccfDNA amplikonos. Divās ccfDNA pozīcijās mutantā alēle bija vairāk nekā 2% no kopējā nolasījumu skaita, kas varētu liecināt par šo ccfDNA izcelsmi no HA.
