Kobaltu un dzelzi saturošu perovskītu materiālu aprēķini, izmantojot AOLK metodi ar hibrīdiem blīvuma funkcionāļiem

2020

To iespējams paveikt, izmantojot protonus vadošās keramiskās degvielas šūnas (PCFC), pretstatā pārējām cietvie-lu degvielas šūnām, kuras balstās uz oksīdu vadītspēju. Pretēji elektrolītu materiāliem [1],optimālos katodu materiālus vēl nepieciešams identificēt, meklējot cieto šķīdumu sastāvuar pietiekami augstu elektronu un protonu vadītspēju, kā arī izprast jon…

2009

Leikin arviointivälineet PAGS, ToP ja TOES tarkasteltuna käsitteellisesti ICF-CY – luokituksen kautta. Mattila Liisa. Jyväskylän yliopisto. Liikunta- ja terveystieteiden tiedekunta. Terveystieteiden laitos. 2009.42s. Asiantuntijalla on tärkeä olla riittävästi tietoa leikin arvioinnin tavoitteen kannalta oikean arviointivälineen valitsemiseksi. Lapsen osallistumista leikkiin voidaan arvioida luonnollisessa leikkitilanteessa, jolloin leikkijän, ympäristön ja leikin välinen dynaaminen vuorovaikutus voidaan huomioida. Improvements in Rational Design Strategies of Inulin Derivative Polycation for siRNA Delivery.

2016

The advances of short interfering RNA (siRNA)-mediated therapy provide a powerful option for the treatment of many diseases, including cancer, by silencing the expression of targeted genes involved in the progression of the pathology. On this regard, a new pH-responsive polycation derived from inulin, Inulin-g-imidazole-g-diethylenetriamine (INU-IMI-DETA), was designed and employed to produce INU-IMI-DETA/siRNA "Inulin COmplex Nanoaggregates" (ICONs). The experimental results showed that INU-IMI-DETA exhibited strong cationic characteristics and high solubility in the pH range 3-5 and self-aggregation triggered by pH increase and physiological salt concentration. INU-IMI-DETA showed as well…

Detecting Kernel Vulnerabilities During the Development Phase

2015

Testing is one of the major problems in Linux kernel development cycle. Security analysis and ensuring no new vulnerabilities has been introduced is one of the toughest issues of testing. Kernel developers attempt to find as many security issues as possible before merging with the mainline branch. Failure to detect vulnerabilities will result in vulnerable kernel shipped by distribution and vulnerable systems. The kernel developers can choose between several industrial and open source tools to assist in the development process and shorten the development cycle. (Though not as many as user space developers. Kernel tools are limited and rare compared to user space tools) Some of these tools a…

Integración y transformación económica en África: potencial y limitaciones del Área de Libre Comercio Continental Africana

2021

In March 2018, the African Union gave way to the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area, the largest area of economic integration in the world by number of countries involved. As of June 2020, 54 out of 55 African Union member countries have already signed the agreement, thus showing an almost complete unanimity on this topic. AfCFTA comes up when industrialisation strategies and economic transformation in Africa seem to have taken over orthodox structural adjustment and post-adjustment approaches. AfCFTA aims to increase the scarce intra-African trade, boost economic transformation, create the regional value chains and help African firms to join the global value chains. I…

Revisiting the “The Breakfast Club”: Testing Different Theoretical Models of Belongingness and Acceptance (and Social Self-Representation)

2021

The current work tests different theoretical models of belongingness and acceptance as fundamental needs for human motivation. In the current study, 372 participants were presented with 52 different items measuring five different theoretical models of belongingness (with a total of 32 items) and three different theoretical models of acceptance (with a total of 20 items). In a first step, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) failed to provide support for these eight theoretical models. In a second step, we therefore applied Exploratory Factor Analysis yielding three factors, which we interpreted as communicating: (1) Belongingness, (2) Emotion-Acceptance, and (3) Social Self-Representation. In…

Common variants at VRK2 and TCF4 conferring risk of schizophrenia

2011

To access publisher full text version of this article. Please click on the hyperlink in Additional Links field. Common sequence variants have recently joined rare structural polymorphisms as genetic factors with strong evidence for association with schizophrenia. Here we extend our previous genome-wide association study and meta-analysis (totalling 7 946 cases and 19 036 controls) by examining an expanded set of variants using an enlarged follow-up sample (up to 10 260 cases and 23 500 controls). In addition to previously reported alleles in the major histocompatibility complex region, near neurogranin (NRGN) and in an intron of transcription factor 4 (TCF4), we find two novel variants show…

Genome wide mapping of the MBF-1 binding sites during embryogenesis of the sea urchin reveals it is a chromatin organizer.

2015

The Zinc-finger MBF1 factor is a transcription activator involved in the expression of the early histone genes during development of the sea urchin embryo (1). The DNA-binding domain of MBF1 shares high sequence similarity with that of the CTCF chromatin organizer but, unexpectedly, extensive in silico analysis failed to identify the sea urchin CTCF ortholog (2, 3). This led us to speculate that MBF1 could have co-opted the function of CTCF during evolution of the echinoderms. To support this hypothesis, we performed the genome-wide MBF1-binding sites mapping in the P. lividus genome, by chromatin immunoprecipitation coupled to next generation sequencing (ChIP-Seq). We observed that MBF1 bi…

Development of New Targeted Inulin Complex Nanoaggregates for siRNA Delivery in Antitumor Therapy.

2021

Here, a novel strategy of formulating efficient polymeric carriers based on the already described INU-IMI-DETA for gene material whose structural, functional, and biological properties can be modulated and improved was successfully investigated. In particular, two novel derivatives of INU-IMI-DETA graft copolymer were synthesized by chemical functionalisation with epidermal growth factor (EGF) or polyethylenglycol (PEG), named INU-IMI-DETA-EGF and INU-IMI-DETA-PEG, respectively, in order to improve the performance of already described “inulin complex nanoaggregates” (ICONs). The latter were thus prepared by appropriately mixing the two copolymers, by varying each component from 0 to 100 wt%…
