[Background] It is unknown whether individuals at high cardiovascular risk sustain a benefit in cardiovascular disease from increased olive oil consumption. The aim was to assess the association between total olive oil intake, its varieties (extra virgin and common olive oil) and the risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality in a Mediterranean population at high cardiovascular risk.

For centuries, funeral law was not too favourable to suicides. Admittedly, at the dawn of Christianity this group of the deceased was not refused religious funeral celebrations or a burial, yet, the situation changed along with the Catholic religion gaining significance. At the beginning of the Middle Ages, suicides were deprived of the right to a religious funeral. Furthermore, in the 11th century the ecclesiastical legislator forbade burial for suicides in “holy places.” Until modern times, therefore, suicides were buried at a distance from grave- yards. Biohiilen vaikutus torjunta-aineiden ja ravinteiden huuhtoutumiseen peltomaassa : esimerkkeinä glyfosaatti ja fosfori

Tässä työssä tutkittiin kasvihuonekokein kolmessa eri lämpötilassa (300, 375 ja 475 ºC) tuotetun koivubiohiilen (80 tn/ha) vaikutusta glyfosaatin, aminometyylifosfonihapon (AMPA) ja fosforin (PO4-P) huuhtoutumiseen maaperästä. Lisäksi esiteltiin glyfosaatin ja fosforin keskinäistä vuorovaikutusta maaperässä sekä biohiilen tuotantoon liittyvien muuttujien vaikutusta torjunta-aineiden ja ravinteiden huuhtoutumiseen. Tutkimuksen mukaan maaperän biohiililisäykset vähentävät glyfosaatin huuhtoutumista keskimäärin 71 % ja AMPA:n huuhtoutumista keskimäärin 36 %. The Effect of Mechanocatalytic Pretreatment on the Structure and Depolymerization of Willow

In this study, the effect of a mechanocatalytic pretreatment on the structure of willow and sugar release from pretreated willow was explored. In the mechanocatalytic approach, the pretreatment consists of solvent-free impregnation with sulfuric acid and a mechanical treatment with ball milling. Willow sawdust and pretreated samples were analyzed with field emission scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction. The products in the sugar solution were determined as the total reducing sugars with the 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid method and monosaccharides with capillary electrophoresis. Diemžēl Latvijā recidīvā noziedzība netiek pētīta no valsts puses, kas nozīmē, ka neseko 100% attiecīgā valsts reakcija tā novēršanai un faktoriem, kas recidīvu veicina. Darba uzdevums un mērķis ir izpētīt un iegūt informāciju par dzimumnozieguma recidīva rādītājiem Latvijā, veikt vispārēju analīzi par Latvijā pieejamo līdzekļu efektivitāti recidīva rādītāju samazināšanai, kā arī rast ieteikumus jaunu instrumentu izmantošanai un darba efektivizācijai ar dzimumnoziegumiem. Por ello, en las sesiones dedicadas a transmitir conocimientos sobre sexo/sexualidad, higiene sexual, prácticas sexuales y sexo seguro, así como, en las que se trabajan actitudes hacia la diversidad sexual y las relaciones de pareja se prioriza más el juego.
