Temperature Coefficients of Solar Cell Parameters at Maximum Power Point

Analytical expressions for the temperature coefficients of the maximum power point voltage and current are presented. The temperature coefficients are calculated assuming the bandgap to be a linear function of the temperature and accounting for energy losses of non-radiative nature. The latter are introduced in the model through the External Radiative Efficiency. The so-called $\gamma$ parameter, which has been shown to account for the thermal sensitivity of all mechanisms determining the open-circuit voltage, appears to also play a role in the temperature coefficient of the maximum power point voltage and current. Scaling up electrically synchronized spin torque oscillator networks

AbstractSynchronized nonlinear oscillators networks are at the core of numerous families of applications including phased array wave generators and neuromorphic pattern matching systems. In these devices, stable synchronization between large numbers of nanoscale oscillators is a key issue that remains to be demonstrated. Here, we show experimentally that synchronized spin-torque oscillator networks can be scaled up. By increasing the number of synchronized oscillators up to eight, we obtain that the emitted power and the quality factor increase linearly with the number of oscillators. Ab initio multi-reference perturbation theory calculations of the ground and low-lying electronic states of the KRb molecule

The potential energy curves of the low-lying electronic states correlating up to the limit K(4p) + Rb(5s) of KRb molecule have been calculated using the multi-reference perturbation theory method at the CASSCF/ XMCQDPT2 level of theory without and with spin–orbit coupling. The calculated parameters of the ground X 1 R + state are in the best agreement among all previously performed ab initio calculations for the KRb molecule. The calculated vibrational intervals of the ground electronic term of the 39 K 85 Rb molecule describe the experiment with the accuracy within ±1 cm ?1 . Hydrogen bonding interaction of N5H with water: A first principle calculations

Abstract The cyclopentazol (N5H) and its anion counterpart (N5–) have been studied extensively over the years and detected in the gas phase as well as in solution recently. In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to understand the interaction with water molecule using first principle calculations. Nature of interactions have been studied using both energy decomposition analysis and atoms in molecule (AIM) theory calculations. Further, the strength of non-covalent interactions were analysed using IGMplots.

Enhanced alignment and orientation of polar molecules by vibrational resonant adiabatic passage

The authors show that polar molecules can be adiabatically aligned and oriented by laser pulses more efficiently when the laser frequencies are vibrationally resonant. The aligned molecules are found in a superposition of vibrational pendular states, each associated with the alignment of the rotor in one vibrational state. The authors construct the dressed potential associated with this mechanism. Values of detunings and field amplitudes are given to optimize the degree of alignment and orientation for the CO molecule.

Smoothed Spherical Truncation based on Fuzzy Membership Functions: Application to the Molecular Encoding.

A novel spherical truncation method, based on fuzzy membership functions, is introduced to truncate interatomic (or interaminoacid) relations according to smoothing values computed from fuzzy membership degrees. In this method, the molecules are circumscribed into a sphere, so that the geometric centers of the molecules are the centers of the spheres. The fuzzy membership degree of each atom (or aminoacid) is computed from its distance with respect to the geometric center of the molecule, by using a fuzzy membership function. [Bis(phosphonio)isophosphindolide]silver complexes

The outcome of reactions of bis(phosphonio)isophosphindolide salts 1[X] and 6[X] (X- Cl-, Br-, CF3SO3-) with silver salts AgY (Y- = CF3SO3-, CF3CO2-, CH3CO2-, 1/2 SO4-) depends strongly on the available anions X, Y. If X-, Y- CF3SO3-, both mononuclear and dinuclear silver complexes are formed which exhibit either μ1,μ1(P) or μ2,η1(P) coordination of the cations 1, 6 to one or to both metals. In solution, dynamic equilibria between both types of products and free 1, 6 were detected by 31P-NMR spectroscopy.
