Immunohistochemical analysis of the patterns of p53 and PCNA expression in odontogenic cystic lesions

Objective: the role of p53 expression in odontogenic lesions has not been fully determined, but has been associated with cell proliferation. The purpose of this study was to analyze p53 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) expression in 4 different odontogenic lesions. Design: expression of p53 and PCNA was analyzed in radicular and dentigerous cysts, odontogenic keratocysts, and calcifying odontogenic cysts (Gorlin cysts) using monoclonal antibodies for detection of p53 and PCNA. Stresa un izdegšanas sindroma saistība Latvijas valsts policijas darbiniekiem

Šī pētījuma mērķis ir, pirmkārt, noskaidrot, kuri stresori visvairāk saistās ar uztverto stresu Latvijas Valsts policijā un, otrkārt, noskaidrot, kāda ir saistība stresam un izdegšanas sindromam Latvijas Valsts policijā. Respondenti (N = 63) aizpildīja trīs aptaujas: Uztvertā stresa skalu (PSS), Maslakas izdegšanas aptauju (MBI) un aptauju “Stress darbavietā” (OSI). Pētījuma rezultāti saistībā ar stresu un izdegšanas sindromu, kā arī ar biežāko uzrādīto stresoru policijas populācijā, apstiprina citu pētījumu secinājumus. Darba vides riska faktoru un stresa ietekme uz Liepājas aptiekā strādājošo farmaceitu darba spējām

Maģistra darbā ir pētīti darba vides riska faktori un stresa ietekme uz farmaceitiem, un to saistība ar nodarbināto darbspējām. Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām. Pirmajā daļā ir apkopota un analizēta literatūra par farmaceitu profesiju, kā arī ergonomiskiem un psihosociāliem riskiem. Otrajā daļā aprakstītas pētījumā lietotās metodes, bet trešajā daļā veikta iegūto rezultātu apkopošana un analīze. Literatūras analīze liecina, ka farmaceiti, kuri strādā aptiekā, pakļauti daudzveidīgiem darba vides risku faktoriem (fiziskiem, ergonomiskiem, psihosociāliem). Strupastes Microtus hartingi uzvedības pārmaiņas atklātā lauka testā pēc stresa ietekmes dažādos ontoģenēzes periodos

Bakalaura darbā ir apskatītas pētnieciskās uzvedības pārmaiņas, kā arī reproduktīvās spējas pēc stresa ietekmes uz Lidijas strupasti Microtus hartingi lydius dažādos ontoģenēzes posmos: prenatālajā periodā un agrīnajā postnatālajā periodā. Stresa ietekme tika izdarīta uz grūsnu mātīti, uz mātīti laktācijas periodā un mazuļiem pirmajās 10 dienās pēc dzimšanas. Kad strupastes sasniedza 60 dienu vecumu, tika pētīta dzīvnieku uzvedība “atklātā lauka testā”. Tika izveidota un pārbaudīta testā arī kontroles grupa. The paper explores how boundaries affect the search for identity in the context of racism and colonialism. Colonized individuals often experience a sense of alienation and inferiority caused by the limitations imposed by colonial power structures, leading to a quest for personal identity. However, the binary division between the colonizer and colonized affects everyone involved, making searching for personal identity more complex and reinforcing systemic racism. Effects of contextual variables on strategic investment decision-making styles: An empirical study from Pakistan.

There is a gap in the literature of strategic investment decision making (SIDM) concerning the links between context variables, infrastructure and SIDM practices (or SIDM styles) in developing countries. This research aims to fill that gap. Survey data (N = 128) from the manufacturing companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange was collected via an e-mailed questionnaire and visits to the companies. Data are analyzed with factor analysis and multiple regression analysis.
