E stato determinato il rapporto tra forma «piridossalica» e forma «piridossaminica» dell'aspartato aminotransferasi nell'encefalo totale di ratti albini durante l'ipoglicemia da insulina e l'iperglicemia da allossana. Il rapporto tra le due forme catalitiche dell'enzima e stato considerato un indice dell'efficienza del ciclo degli acidi tricarbossilici, ed e stata prospettata la possibilita che l'aspartato aminotransferasi abbia una funzione regolativa nei riguardi del ciclo.
Citrate–nitrate auto-combustion synthesis of perovskite-type nanopowders: A systematic approach

Abstract Citrate–nitrate auto-combustion synthesis is used to prepare an iron, a cobalt and a cerium-perovskite. The influence of different synthesis conditions on the combustion process, phase composition, textural and morphological properties is studied in detail by X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption and scanning electron microscopy. Results show that the combustion intensity increases from iron, to cerium, to cobalt-perovskite. Conversely, the combustion intensity decreases and thus the safety and the gain of the combustion process increase by using high fuel/oxidant ratios, low pH values or combustion reactors with high heat dispersion capacity. Abstract Background Cockroaches are terrestrial insects that strikingly eliminate waste nitrogen as ammonia instead of uric acid. Blattabacterium cuenoti (Mercier 1906) strains Bge and Pam are the obligate primary endosymbionts of the cockroaches Blattella germanica and Periplaneta americana, respectively. The genomes of both bacterial endosymbionts have recently been sequenced, making possible a genome-scale constraint-based reconstruction of their metabolic networks. A promising keratin-degrading strain from the genus Chryseobacterium (Chryseobacterium sp. KMC2) was investigated using comparative genomic tools against three publicly available reference genomes to reveal the keratinolytic potential for biosynthesis of valuable secondary metabolites. Genomic features and metabolic potential of four species were compared, showing genomic differences but similar functional categories. This study characterizes the phosphorylated pathway of Ser biosynthesis (PPSB) in Arabidopsis thaliana by targeting phosphoserine phosphatase (PSP1), the last enzyme of the pathway. Lack of PSP1 activity delayed embryo development, leading to aborted embryos that could be classified as early curled cotyledons. The embryo-lethal phenotype of psp1 mutants could be complemented with PSP1 cDNA under the control of Pro35S (Pro35S:PSP1).
