X-ray powder diffraction pattern for glucopyranosylsorbitol and glucopyranosylmannitol dihydrate
1997
X-ray powder data are given for glucopyranosylsorbitol, C12H24O11, and glucopyranosylmannitol dihydrate, C12H24O11 * 2H2O. Refined unit cell parameters for glucopyranosylsorbitol are: a=0.9124(4) nm, b=1.1336(5) nm, c=0.7232(3) nm, and β=91.23(4)° in space group P21 and those for glucopyranosylmannitol dihydrate are a=2.2579(15) nm, b=1.0016(5) nm, and c=0.7584(5) nm in space group P212121.
Ultrapotassic volcanism from the waning stage of the Neotethyan subduction: a key study from the Izmir-Ankara-Erzincan suture belt, central northern …
2016
Upper Cretaceous volcano-sedimentary successions in the Central Pontides of Turkey, related to the closure of the Tethys Ocean, include a variety of alkaline ultrapotassic igneous rocks that have been classified as leucititic, lamprophyric and trachytic based on their mineral paragenesis. Although the ultrapotassic rocks display a range of K 2 O contents (0·9–8·4 wt %) that may partly reflect alteration processes, they display subduction-related trace element signatures characterized by significant enrichment of large ion lithophile elements and light rare earth elements relative to high field strength elements and heavy rare earth elements and depletion of Nb and Ta. However, their initial…
Rail track field testing using laser/air hybrid ultrasonic technique
2003
Nondestructive testing methods used for the testing of rail in tracks worldwide can be limited by discontinuity location or orientation within the rail. Vertical split head and rail base cracks are among those types of discontinuities that are difficult to detect, which in some cases may result in a reail failure in service. A noncontact and remote hybrid ultrasonic technique has been developed by combining laser generation with air coupled detection of ultrasonic signals in rails. The test apparatus mounts on a railroad pushcart and tests are performed in motion with all components kept above the running surface of the rail track. Tracks have been tested for vertical split head and rail ba…

New re-bordering left them alone and neglected: Czech cross-border commuters in German-Czech borderland
2022
The article focuses on the impact of the new re-bordering, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, on the functional, ideational and institutional dimension of cross-border integration, as perceived by the Czech cross-border commuters employed on the German side of the Euroregion Elbe Labe. The interviews with forty cross-commuters showed that they were left alone in these times of re-bordering and became victims of non-coordination between Czechia and Germany. Yet, cross-border commuting seems to have survived the first pandemic waves and the German labour market will continue to attract the Czech workforce despite that fact the pandemic has introduced a major uncertainty associated with the bord…
Inspection of the Perianal Region
1979
During inspection of the perianal region and the anus, a portion of the anal canal may also be examined through stretching of the buttocks (Fig. 13). Good illumination is needed for an optimal examination.

Electron Diffraction Reinvestigation of CdCr2Se4 and ZnCr2-xVx</su…
2013
Crystal structure of two spinel single crystals CdCr2Se4 and ZnCr2-xVxSe4 have been reinvestigated using automated electron diffraction tomography method with beam precession. 3D reciprocal space have been reconstructed base on recorded tilt series. For both samples crystal structure was refined and the cubic symmetry with space group Fd-3m was confirmed. No additional electron potential has been located beside occupied atom sites.
Soil organic carbon stocks assessment in Mediterranean natural areas: A comparison of entire soil profiles and soil control sections
2015
Soil organic carbon (SOC) is an important part of the global carbon (C) cycle. In addition, SOC is a soil property subject to changes and highly variable in space and time. Over time, some researches have analyzed entire soil profile (ESP) by pedogenetic horizons and other researches have analyzed soil control sections (SCS) to different thickness. However, very few studies compare both methods (ESP versus SCS). This research sought to analyze the SOC stock (SOCS) variability using both methods (ESP and SCS) in The Despeñaperros Natural Park, a nature reserve that consists of a 76.8 km(2) forested area in southern Spain. Thirty-four sampling points were selected in the study zone. Each samp…
