The precise detection of cancer cells currently remains a global challenge. One-dimensional (1D) semiconductor nanostructures (e.g., ZnO nanorods) have attracted attention due to their potential use in cancer biosensors. In the current study, it was demonstrated that the possibility of a photoluminescent detection of human leukemic T-cells by using a zinc oxide nanorods (ZnO NRs) platform. Monoclonal antibodies (MABs) anti-CD5 against a cluster of differentiation (CD) proteins on the pathologic cell surface have been used as a bioselective layer on the ZnO surface. Packing incentives and a reliable N–H⋯N–pyridine synthon in co-crystallization of bipyridines with two agrochemical actives

The co-crystallization of agrochemical actives thiophanate-methyl and thiophanate-ethyl with 2,2′-bipyridine, 4,4′-bipyridine and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane was investigated with conventional crystallization, the slurry method and liquid-assisted grinding. Co-crystals of both thiophanates with all bipyridines were found and the structures solved with single crystal X-ray diffraction. Whereas the 2,2′-bipyridine co-crystals seem to form because of a combination of weak interactions, and in the case of the thiophanate-methyl, partly because of close packing incentives, the 4,4′-bipyridine and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane co-crystals form mainly because of a favourable N–H···N–pyridine hydrogen bond…

Tutkielman tehtävänä on tarkastella millaisena lasten seksuaalisesta hyväksikäytöstä kertominen näyttäytyy kansainvälisissä tutkimuksissa. Tutkielmassa kuvataan miten hyväksikäytöstä kertomista on tutkittu kansainvälisesti sekä sitä kenelle lapset hyväksikäytöstä kertovat ja mitkä tekijät liittyvät kertomiseen tai kertomatta jättämiseen. Tutkimusaineistona on käytetty seksuaalisesta hyväksikäytöstä kertomista käsitteleviä kansainvälisiä tutkimuksia. Aineisto kerättiin elektronisista tietokannoista systemaattisen kirjallisuuskatsauksen menetelmällä. Aineisto koostuu 22 tutkimuksesta, joista suurin osa on yhdysvaltalaisia tutkimuksia. Seksuālā paškoncepta, piesaistes stila un seksuālās sevis atklāšanas saistība sievietēm pieaugušā vecumā

Piesaiste kā iekšējais darbības modelis, seksuālais paškoncepts kā kognitīvo shēmu modelis un seksuālā sevis atklāšana kā komunikatīvs resurss tiek analizēti korelāciju modelī. Par pētījuma mērķi tika izvirzīts noteikt saistību starp seksuālo paškonceptu, piesaistes stilu, seksuālo sevis atklāšanu un apmierinātību ar seksuālo dzīvi sievietēm pieaugušo vecumā. Sievietes pieaugušā vecumā (N=70) sniedza atbildes uz aptaujas jautājumiem tiešsaistē. Tika izmantotas 4 aptaujas: Attiecību aptauja, Romantisko attiecību aptauja, Multidimensionālā seksuālā paškoncepta aptauja un Seksuālās sevis atklāšanas aptauja.
