A very common configuration of V-belt variators for motorcycles considers the correction of the belt tensioning depending on the resistant torque by means of suitable helical-shaped tracks allowing the driven half-pulleys to close/open. The photochemical behaviour of 3-styryl-5-phenyl-(5-methyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazoles in methanol at 254 nm has been investigated. A photoinduced rearrangement to the quinoline system has been pointed out and explained as proceeding through an initial photolysis of the ring ON bond, followed by a six membered ring closure reaction involving the styryl moiety.

This paper analyses the disclosure on the directors’ remuneration, whose primary role in a company, makes their information of particular interest to different stakeholders. The authors’ aim is to investigate the official documents (for 2009) of the 50 most capitalized listed Italian companies, in order to verify the compulsory and/or voluntary disclosure provided about the remuneration paid to their directors. The findings will be summarized in a disclosure index whose correlation with some parameters (selected on the basis of specific research hypothesis) concerning board structure and company size will be assessed.

La fouille du site de Crevans (Haute-Saône) a permis de reconnaitre un bâtiment maçonné rectangulaire, pourvu d’un porche, et un grand enclos carré. Le site, très arasé, n’a livré que peu de mobilier à l’exception d’un dépôt dans le grand enclos, postérieur à son abandon, et une fosse avec des quartiers de bœuf au centre du bâtiment. We present the enlargement plan of an isolated cemetery in a small town of the west Sicily as it exemplifies some way to carry out the design for an “addition”. The enlargement faces a still readable and characteristic nineteenth-century building.
