Unitary Space–Time Constellation Design Based on the Chernoff Bound of the Pairwise Error Probability

Unitary space-time constellation design is considered for noncoherent multiple-antenna communications, where neither the transmitter nor the receiver knows the fading coefficients of the channel. By employing the Clarke's subdifferential theorem of the sum of the kappa largest singular values of a unitary matrix, we present a numerical optimization procedure for finding unitary space-time signal constellations of any dimension. The Chernoff bound of the pairwise error probability is used directly as a design criterion. BACKGROUND: Fimctional constipation (FC) is a common disorder, particularly frequent m women. The aim of our study was to compare the results of balloon expulsion test with the manometry and defecography findings to exclude dyssynergic defecation (DD) in patients with chronic constipation. METHODS: From January 2005 to December 2011, 127 patients with the diagnosis of functional constipation were recruited retrospectively. They were divided into three groups: 24 with DD, 54 with descending perineum syndrome (PDS), 49 without DD/PDS. Este trabajo analiza la reciente reforma del artículo 135 de la Constitución española, a la luz de los principios y de la doctrina constitucional; centrándose, fundamentalmente, en el estudio crítico del procedimiento de reforma seguido, que cuestiona el consenso constitucional.This work analyzes the reform of article 135 of the Spanish Constitution which was introduced in September 2011, from the perspective of the constitutional principles as well as the decisions taken by the Constitutional Court. The focus is mainly on the analysis of the procedure followed to conduct the reform, which –it was said—severely breaks the constitutional consensus.

En este estudio intentamos abordar la significación del liberalismo doceañista en la transformación de la monarquía hispánica y su trascendencia en la construcción del Estado-nación mexicano a partir de 1821. Para ello interpretamos desde la metodología histórica la noción de «liberalismo doceañista» al tiempo que argumentamos su importancia en los debates del congreso constituyente mexicano de 1822. Chiral approach to antikaon s- and p-wave interactions in dense nuclear matter

The properties of the antikaons in nuclear matter are investigated from a chiral unitary approach which incorporates the s- and p-waves of the ${\bar K}N$ interaction. To obtain the in-medium meson-baryon amplitudes we include, in a self-consistent way, Pauli blocking effects, meson self-energies corrected by nuclear short-range correlations and baryon binding potentials. We pay special attention to investigating the validity of the on-shell factorization, showing that it cannot be applied in the evaluation of the in-medium corrections to the p-wave amplitudes. In nuclear matter at saturation energy, the $\Lambda$ and $\Sigma$ develop an attractive potential of about -30 MeV, while the $\Si…
