EL NUEVO CONSTITUCIONALISMO MULTICULTURAL: ¿REFORMA O REVOLUCIÓN? REFLEXIONANDO ACERCA DE LOS LÍMITES DEL CONSTITUCIONALISMO

2017

Development of an imaging system dedicated to the acquisition analysis and multispectral characterisation of skin lesion

2011

Visual evaluation of cutaneous lesions is the analysis the most commonly performedby dermatologists. This diagnostic is mainly done by naked eye and is based on criterionsuch as the size, shape, symmetry but principally on colour of the lesions. However, thisanalysis is subjective because it depends on the practician experience and the acquisitionconditions. We propose in this dissertation (1) the development of a multispectralcamera specifically dedicated for dermatological use. This device is based on a filterwheel composed of interferential filters and a neural network-based algorithm, generatinga hyperspectral cube of cutaneous data. This setting combines advantage of both spectrophotom…

Image and Copy in Contemporary Deconstruction of Platonism

2017

This paper aims at investigating the relationship between some contemporary Interpretations of Plato's Ontology and the Theory of Image-Copy connection developed in many Dialogues such as Sophist, Philebus, Timaeus and Republic. By examinating some of the most relevant criticisms to this Theory cast by french Philosophers such as Deleuze and Derrida and by retracing the roots of these criticisms to the common source of Nietzsche's and Heidegger's Thought, the paper argues a way to overcome the stiff opposition which is commonly held between these two fronts, thus trying to refine the hermeneutical approach to Plato which almost dominated the XX century.

Experimental results on adsorption beds for air dehumidification

2016

Desiccant rotors are commonly used in large scale solar cooling open cycle applications. As is well known, adsorption heat sensibly reduces the dehumidification capacity of the desiccant material and results in lower system performance. The aim of this work is to describe an innovative solution that permits simultaneous mass and heat transfer. In particular, two components working with silica gel fixed beds were studied and compared. The first component is a simple packed bed containing silica gel grains. The second component is a fin and tube heat exchanger commonly used in several air conditioning applications wherein the spaces between the fins are filled with silica gel grains. In this …

Implementing climate impacts in road infrastructure in the design phase by combining BIM with LCA

2019

Abstract Building information modelling (BIM) software is increasingly being used in as a visual road design tool and offers real-time information on material demands as designs change. Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a tool that is used to measure the lifetime environmental impacts of systems, materials and processes. LCA data sets are organized according to process or product, which is ideal for implementation as a parameter in BIM. This paper seeks to explore how BIM and LCA can be used together in road design by analysing existing literature, creating a Norwegian test case on a road designed in a BIM model and adding LCA data to the model before comparing to a standard LCA study of the s…

Solutions for the Design and Increasing of Efficiency of Viscous Dampers

2016

In last decades many strategies for seismic vulnerability mitigation of structures have been studied and experimented; in particular energy dissipation by external devices assumes a great importance for the relative simplicity and efficacy. Among all possible approaches the use of fluid viscous dampers are very interesting, because of their velocity-dependent behaviour and relatively low costs. Application on buildings requires a specific study under seismic excitation and a particular attention on structural details. Nevertheless seismic codes give only general information and in most case the design of a such protection systems results difficult; this problem is relevant also in Italy whe…

The natural compound chrysosplenol-D is a novel, ultrasensitive optical sensor for detection of Cu(II)

2020

Abstract Herein, we introduce a novel, ultrasensitive optical sensor for determination of Cu(II) ions over the concentration range of 0 to 1 μM Cu(II). The optical sensor is based on the natural molecule chrysosplenol-D (Chp-D) extracted from the flowering plant Chiliadenus montanus (Vahl.) Brullo. Free Chp-D emits fluorescence at 566 nm when excited at 292 nm. Chp-D chelates Cu(II) ions to form a 1:1 (metal:ligand) complex, which quenches the fluorescence emission peak of the free probe at 566 nm. “Turn-off” luminescence could be easily determined and provided distinct proof of the chelation of Cu(II) ions by Chp-D. This novel optical sensor offers a considerable fluorescence mechanism (ch…

eta1-Allypalladium complexes with tridentate PNP’ ligand for the assembly of modified Screen Printed Electrodes: an electrochemical study.

2015

Specific Pd-based organometallic complex, in particular the [Pd(η1-CH2–CH=CH2)(P–N–P’)]BF4 was used for the assembly of chemically modified Screen Printed Electrodes (SPEs) and their electrochemical reactivity was also investigated. For this purpose potassium ferricyanide, hexaammineruthenium(III) chloride, sodium hexachloroiridate-(III) hydrate, ascorbic acid (AA), uric acid (UA), acetaminophen (Ac), guanine (G) and adenine (A) were used to study the electron-transfer processes, which occurred at modified SPEs, fabricated by using the [Pd(η1-CH2–CH=CH2)(P–N–P’)]BF4, applying the drop casting procedure. Interesting results were obtained in the case of the guanine (G) quantitative detection,…
