From Carneades to Cicero
2015
This chapter is about how Stoic epistemology developed in the two centuries after Chrysippus’ death. I first show that, as a result of Carneades’ critique in the mid-second century, there was a shift of emphasis in the epistemological debate between the Stoa and the Academy. From then on the task was not to explain what causal features a cognitive thought has, but to describe what phenomenological features it has. I show that the later Stoics responded to this challenge in two different ways. Some changed Chrysippus’ theory quite radically. They held that a cognitive thought is characterized by giving rise to a sense of conviction, denied that preconceptions count as cognitive thoughts, and…
The discoursive research orientation and its marxist inspiration
2014
Questions about the specifics of bulding of socio-political sphere phenomenon, lied at the dawn of countless attempts of systematization of knowledge over this subject, and of constructing the axioms, responding to efforts to enucleate of algorithm, ruling the dynamics of this sphere. One of such examples is discoursive research orientation. It was an effect of series of transformations inside social sciences during XXth century. Nonetheless, its program was not completely utilized by researchers achivements. I would like to express the conviction that primary catalogue of inspirations derives from rich achivements of Marxist thought. As node points of those considerations I take four inspi…

IL LEGISLATORE TEDESCO ALLARGA LE MAGLIE DELLA REVISIONE CONTRA REUM: L'ASSOLUZIONE PER DELITTI GRAVI E IMPRESCRITTIBILI PUÒ ESSERE MESSA IN DISCUSSI…
2022
Kontekst kulturowy a program edukacji językowo‑komunikacyjnej w L1. Głos w dyskusji
2020
The article’s theme concerns challenges encountered in the 21st century in the course of language communicative education within the scope of Polish as a native language. The author expresses conviction that socialisation process does not substitute for education, and therefore one of the paramount purposes/aims of language education within the scope of native language is to cater to the language-communicative needs of students stemming from cultural transformation taking place in the contemporary world. New tasks that a Polish language teacher needs to face are developing the so-called new communicative competency which facilitates communicative acts in media-dominated world of today, incl…
Declaration and Handling of Conflicts of Interest in Guidelines
2015
Clinical guidelines are developed in order to support physicians and patients in specific clinical situations when decisions concerning diagnosis and treatment are made. Recommendations provided in guidelines are based on the findings of clinical studies and on expert opinion. Identical study findings may be evaluated differently depending on whether or not guideline authors have conflicts of interest (1). A conflict of interest is defined as a circumstance that gives rise to a risk that professional judgement or actions concerning a primary interest may be inappropriately influenced by a secondary interest (2, 3). A conflict of interest is therefore a state of affairs, not a biased evaluat…
ETHICS OF BELIEVERS
2011
Przekonania o sobie i świecie nieletnich przebywających w placówkach resocjalizacyjnych
2019
W artykule zaprezentowano część wyników badań uzyskanych za pomocą Skali orientacji pozytywnej (w polskiej adaptacji Marioli Łaguny, Piotra Olesia i Doroty Filipiuk) i Skali wiary w grę o sumie zerowej (autorstwa Joanny Różyckiej i Bogdana Wojciszke). Orientacja pozytywna to wymiar osobowości decydujący o skłonności jednostki do odbierania i przetwarzania informacji o sobie i ś…
Giuseppe Cocchiara, il fascismo e il razzismo
2021
