Il catalogo raccoglie le schede delle opere d’arte decorativa esposte da Maria Accascina alla Mostra d’Arte Sacra delle Madonie allestita nel 1937 presso il Convento dei PP. Riformati di Petralia Sottana, centro delle alte Madonie. Si tratta di gioielli, suppellettili liturgiche, oggetti preziosi di uso profano, coralli, paramenti sacri, tessuti, statue lignee, intagli, maioliche e tappeti realizzati dal XI al XIX secolo. Il contributo, utilizzando documenti inediti, esamina alcune suppellettili liturgiche in stile neoclassico della Chiesa Madre di Petralia Sottana. Tra questi l’ostensorio del 1817 in argento e pietre preziose commissionato dall’arciprete don Antonio Mancusi agli argentieri di Acireale (Ct) Alfio e Salvatore Strano che lo hanno realizzato avvalendosi della collaborazione di Antonino Sirretta e Salvatore Maddalena. Asyryjski Kościół Wschodu jest jedną z najbardziej oryginalnych, tj. znacznie różniącą się od pozostałych, wspólnot chrześcijańskich. Różnice te dotyczą wielu aspektów, wśród których znajduje się również dyscyplina sakramentalna. Jednym z jej fenomenów jest tradycja sakramentu świętego zaczynu, bez którego nie można ważnie przygotować przyszłego Chleba eucharystycznego. Tradycja Kościoła Wschodu przypisuje tej praktyce pochodzenie apostolskie. The main object of this study is the baptismal Ordo of the Syro-Oriental liturgical tradition. The author, starting from the ancient sources, shows the phases of the development of the rite and of its theology. Referring to the Church Fathers like Ephrem and Narsai, he points that from ancient times the Church of the East has attached a special significance to the baptismal anointing. Indeed, in the case of this tradition the anointing is threefold: two times before the baptismal immersion and once following it.
