Ievads: Ar veselības aprūpi saistītu infekciju izplatība turpina pieaugt visā pasaulē un tiek lēsts, ka tās būs 5-10% stacionārā iegūtās un ar augstāko līmeni ķirurģijas un intensīvās terapijas nodaļās. Tika veikts pētījums ar nozokomiālām infekcijām divās slimnīcās Latvijā. Šajā pētījumā bija 17.5% nozokomiālo infekciju gadījumu (226 pacientiem no 1291). Mērķis: Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt gram-negatīvo strutainu infekciju sastopamību Traumatoloģijas un Ortopēdijas slimnīcā. Dynamical amplification of electric polarization through nonlinear phononics in 2D SnTe

2020

Ultrafast optical control of ferroelectricity using intense terahertz fields has attracted significant interest. Here we show that the nonlinear interactions between two optical phonons in SnTe, a two-dimensional in-plane ferroelectric material, enables a dynamical amplification of the electric polarization within subpicoseconds time domain. Our first-principles time-dependent simulations show that the infrared-active out-of-plane phonon mode, pumped to nonlinear regimes, spontaneously generates in-plane motions, leading to rectified oscillations in the in-plane electric polarization. The electrochemical oxidation in water solutions of selected carboxylic acids (namely oxalic, formic, acetic, maleic, and succinic) at boron-doped diamond (BDD) anodes was investigated by polarization and chronoamperometric measurements. In the presence of low concentrations of carboxylic acids, current densities changed approximately linearly with the acid concentrations. Furthermore, when the current densities were plotted as a function of the chemical oxygen demand, a similar response was observed for all the investigated acids with the exception of oxalic acid. The purpose of this study was to investigate visual depth perception of real physical colour stimuli with red-green and blue-yellow opponency. We modified the Howard–Dolman stereotest where subjects should determine the closer of two bars emitting the light of definite colour placed in front of a CRT monitor served as colour background. Two-alternative forced-choice paradigms were used to determine depth perception threshold values.
