Abstract Language contact affects case categories in various ways. This article examines the effects of contacts between linguistic codes (languages, unrelated or related, or language varieties): changes in one code on the model of another. It deals with inflectional case markers, affixes, and adpositions from which they evolve. Though most adpositions express more specific relations, some are relatively desemanticised. In this article, a new scheme for range-based localization is proposed. The main goal is to estimate the position of a mobile point based on distance measurements from fixed devices, called anchors, and on inertial measurements. Due to the nonlinear nature of the problem, an analytic relation to compute the position starting from these measurements does not exist, and often trilateration methods are used, generally based on least-square algorithms. The Italian construction andare ‘to go’ + (transitive) past participle expresses a passive meaning when occurring in a perfective past tense (1), whereas it conveys an additional deontic sense of (impersonal) obligation when used in an imperfective tense (2) (Bertinetto 1991; Giacalone Ramat 2000). This paper considers the possibility to integrate external altitude measurements with a Kalman based Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver in a peer to peer scenario. The performance of such a system is investigated for different characteristics of the aiding measurement and for different degree of trust of the receiver upon the aiding measurement. A differentiation of short-latency (alpha) and long-latency (delayed) classically conditioned behavioral and evoked neural (hippocampal) responses was attempted. Further, facilitation and retardation of these responses were studied in an experimental design in which 10 paired conditioning sessions either preceded (CC-CO group) or followed (CO-CC group) 10 randomly unpaired presentations of conditioned stimuli (CS) and unconditioned stimuli (UCS). The paper presents a thermodynamically consistent formulation for nonlocal damage models. Nonlocal models have been recognized as a theoretically clean and computationally efficient approach to overcome the shortcomings arising in continuum media with softening.
