Experimental investigation on different rainfall energy harvesting structures

In this paper proposes an experimental comparison between different rainfall harvesting devices and the study of the corresponding electrical rectifying circuit. More in detail, three harvesting structures are considered: the cantilever, the bridge and the floating circle. For each of the proposed structure, different waveforms have been acquired and discussed. The processed data have been compared in order to suggest the best choice for the rectifying circuit, from the simplest one to the most endorsed in the technical literature.

The syntheses, crystal structures and magnetic properties of four rhenium(IV) compounds of formulae NBu4[ReCl5(pyzCOOH)]·H2O (1), [ReCl5(µ-pyzCOO)M(dmphen)2]·2CH3CN [M = Ni (2) and Co (3)] and {[ReCl5(µ3-pyzCOO)]2Mn2(dmphen)3}n (4) (NBu4 = tetra-n-butylammonium cation, pyzCOOH = 2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid, dmphen = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) are reported herein. This paper proposes a self-sensing measurement technique to perform the precise estimation of the displacements along two axes in a two-degrees-of-freedom (2-DOF) piezoelectric actuator. For that, a new electrical circuit scheme that permits charge amplification is first proposed to match the different electrodes combination of the 2-DOF actuator. This paper explores Common’s views toward Jews in order to assess whether his published writings contain assertion that today would be stigmatized as anti-Semitic. The evidence we provide shows that Commons’ racial characterization of Jews was framed within a broad and indiscriminate xenophobic framework. With other leading Progressive Era social scientists, in fact, Commons shared the idea that the new immigration from Eastern and southern Europe would increase competition in the labor market, drive down wages, and lead Anglo-Saxon men and women to have fewer children, since they would not want them to compete with those who survive on less. El presente trabajo analiza la posibilidad de conferir a uno de los socios un mandato irrevocable para que éste actúe con amplias facultades respecto de los derechos sociales de los demás copartícipes. En este sentido, se estudian las distintas fuentes de las que puede emanar la irrevocabilidad, como son una cláusula convencional y la naturaleza del encargo del mandato, distinguiendo en uno y otro caso sus límites y alcances.
