Després de repassar la bibliografia crítica i els textos poètics derivats, es procedeix a l’anàlisi d’un conegut sonet de Francesc Vicent Garcia, rector de Vallfogona (1578/1579-1623): «A una hermosa dama de cabell negre, que es pentinava en un terrat ab una pinta de marfil», que comença «Ab una pinta de marfil polia», en què l’autor mostra una habilitat poètica excepcional. S’insereix després el text en el seu context estètic i històric, el barroc europeu, i finalment se’l compara amb una sèrie de sonets equivalents, sobre el mateix motiu, produïts per autors castellans, portuguesos, italians i francesos. En els darrers vint-i-cinc anys l’interès pels estudis de traducció i la relació amb el gènere ha propiciat una recerca abundant i diversa. Aquest article mira d’oferir una visió panoràmica sobre la intersecció de la traducció i els estudis de gènere en el context de la llengua catalana, un punt de partida per a recerques futures. D’una banda, donem notícia dels principals treballs, panoràmics i específics, que se centren en la recuperació de traductores catalanes i els seus escrits. De l’altra, repassem les teories que han plantejat la intersecció gènere i traducció en català.

The pruning-grafting lattice of binary trees

AbstractWe introduce a new lattice structure Bn on binary trees of size n. We exhibit efficient algorithms for computing meet and join of two binary trees and give several properties of this lattice. More precisely, we prove that the length of a longest (resp. shortest) path between 0 and 1 in Bn equals to the Eulerian numbers 2n−(n+1) (resp. (n−1)2) and that the number of coverings is (2nn−1). Finally, we exhibit a matching in a constructive way. Then we propose some open problems about this new structure.

Així s’expressava Josep M. de Sagarra l’any 1947 al pròleg de la seva Obra poètica (Sagarra 1947: xx). Aquesta al·lusió i adhesió a la poètica de Valéry, si més no en el que tenia (com l’horaciana i la goethiana) d’oposició a l’espontaneïtat creativa, d’entrada podria sorprendre en un autor de qui diversos testimonis donen constància de la seva gran facilitat per a escriure «a raig» (cf. Permanyer 1982: 45, 55 i 60). Però, d’aquest tipus d’escriptura profusa, si Sagarra va servir-se’n fou sobretot per a confegir peces de teatre que ell mateix qualificava d’obres «fetes amb recepta» (Font 1933: 47).
