Stochastic debt sustainability analysis for sovereigns and the scope for optimization modeling

We argue that sovereign debt sustainability analysis must be augmented by stochastic correlated risk factors and a risk measure to capture tail effects. Crisis situations can thus be adequately specified and analyzed with sufficient accuracy to warrant the relevance of policy decisions. In this context there is significant scope for optimization modeling for both strategic planning and operational management. We discuss diverse aspects of the problem of debt sustainability and highlight modeling approaches that can be brought to bear on the problem. Results with the fictitious, but nor unrealistic, Kingdom of Atlantis, which is sinking under excessive debt, illustrate the proposed models.
Energy, water and environmental balance of a complex water supply system

The present paper describes the analysis of water and energy balance in a complex urban water supply system. The analysis was carried out employing Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) methodologies. The LCA approach was integrated with the analysis of the system energy and water balance. For a real size water supply system, based on the results of the individual LCAs, the current baseline was constructed highlighting the water, energy and environmental (in terms of CO2eq emissions in the atmosphere) costs of supplied water. International audience; This paper assesses the future variability of water resources in the long term over a large Sudano- Sahelian catchment in West Africa. Flow simulations were performed with a daily conceptual model. The climate models HadCM3 and MPI-M (based on SRES-A2) were used to provide future climate scenarios over the catchment. Chapitre 4; Oilseed rape (OSR) genes can escape fields in space via pollen and seeds, and in time via volunteers resulting from seeds lost before or during oilseed rape harvest. When varieties co-exist, e.g. genetically-modified (GM) and non-GM varieties, this spatio-temporal gene flow can lead to the adventitious presence of GM seeds in non-GM harvests and thus cause financial losses for farmers and cooperatives. Gene flow depends on crop locations, succession, and management, as well as the location and management of semi-natural areas such as roadverges. L’étude des enjeux et des caractéristiques de l’autobiographie féminine au XXe siècle permet de mettre en valeur les ambivalences de l’écriture de soi en tenant compte de l’impact des composantes psychologiques, historiques et sociales dans la détermination de l’écriture autobiographique de la « génération Beauvoir ».

El convento de carmelitas descalzos de Uclés (Cuenca) ha pasado hasta ahora prácticamente inadvertido por la historiografía artística. El estado ruinoso que presenta desde el siglo XIX y la falta de documentación sobre el mismo ha impedido un análisis en profundidad sobre este interesante ejemplo conventual, cuyas obras se llevaron a cabo durante la llamada etapa de homogenización de los modos arquitectónicos carmelitanos. Bakalaura darba pētāmā problēma ir slēpto Markova modeļu pielietojums akciju tirgus cenu prognozēšanai. Darbs ir veltīts slēpto Markova modeļu un to galveno pamatproblēmu izpētei un risināšanai, kā arī akciju tirgus cenu prognozēšanai trīs uzņēmumu akcijām, izmantojot gan slēptos Markova modeļus ar diviem slēptajiem stāvokļiem, gan ar trīs slēptajiem stāvokļiem. Katra uzņēmuma prognožu precizitātes ir salīdzinātas, izmantojot vidējo absolūto procentuālo kļūdu un izveidojot grafisku attēlojumu, salīdzinot reālās akciju cenas ar iegūtajām prognozētajām akciju cenām. Datu analizēšanai un aprēķiniem izmantota programma Microsoft Excel, kā arī statistisko aprēķinu programma R.

Estas son potentes antioxidantes y poseen alta capacidad de secuestrar radicales libres. Así, los arándanos y productos de arándanos han resultado atractivos para los consumidores interesados en alimentos funcionales. Sin embargo, los tratamientos térmicos y posterior almacenamiento de productos alimenticios influyen en el contenido de antocianinas. Źródłem ścieków browarnianych są: warzelnia, fermentownia, leżakownia, rozlewnia oraz miejsce mycia opakowań. W zależności od etapu produkcyjnego ścieki te cechują zróżnicowane parametry mikrobiologiczne i fizykochemiczne. Ze względu na dużą zawartość substancji organicznych mogą one stanowić pożywkę dla różnych grup mikroorganizmów. Celem badań była ocena mikrobiologiczna ścieków browarnianych w trzech różnych punktach linii technologicznej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem obecności mikroorganizmów potencjalnie chorobotwórczych.
