BACKGROUND There is a lack of trials of psychodynamic treatments of depression in breast cancer patients. The purpose of this trial was to determine the efficacy of short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy (STPP) in non-metastatic breast cancer patients diagnosed with depression, one of the most frequent mental comorbidities of breast cancer. The development of the medial clavicular epiphysis and its fusion with the clavicular shaft have been a subject of medical research since the second decade of this century. Computed tomography provides the imaging modality of choice in analyzing the maturation process of the sternal end of the clavicle. In a retrospective study, we analyzed normal development in 380 individuals under the age of 30 years. The appearance of an epiphyseal ossification center occurred between ages 11 and 22 years. Abstract Objective To investigate the impact of undertaking long-distance air travel to a specialized medical center while pregnant in order to undergo fetoscopic laser coagulation (FLC) for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted of women with TTTS who travelled by air (n = 16) or land (n = 61) to the Centre of Perinatal Diagnosis and Microinvasive Fetal Surgery, Mainz, Germany, between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2010. Echocardiography in diagnosis of aortic dissection.

In a multicentre study the accuracy of echocardiography was measured in 164 consecutive patients with suspected aortic dissection. The diagnosis was subsequently proven (82 patients) on the basis of transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography and additional diagnostic procedures, including computed tomography (CT), aortic angiography, and surgery and/or necropsy. The sensitivity and specificity of echocardiography were 99% and 98%, respectively, with positive and negative predictive values of 98% and 99%. Background The objective of this study was to describe the upper and lower lip lesion occurrence in an oral diagnostic service. Material and Methods Retrospective descriptive sectional study was performed. Clinical records were obtained from the archives of an Oral Diagnostic Service referral center between 2006 and 2016. Data such as gender, age, anatomical location, and diagnosis were collected and categorized. The collected data were submitted to a descriptive analysis and Pearson's chi-square test (p ≤ 0.05). We addressed the issue of the possible degradation of the aiming precision of a whole-body pointing task, when movement coordination is deranged by selective fatigue of the postural task component. The protocol involved continuous repetition (0.1 Hz frequency) of rapid whole-body pointing trials toward a target located beyond arm length, starting from stance and requiring knee flexion. Six healthy human subjects repeated the trials until exhaustion. Such repetition led to electromyography signs of fatigue in rectus femoris (active in body lowering and raising), but not in deltoid (prime mover for arm reaching component).
