Abstract Background Mediterranean spotted fever (MSF) is an acute febrile, zoonotic disease caused by Rickettsia conorii and transmitted to humans by the brown dogtick Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Nearly four hundred cases are reported every year (mainly from June to September) on the Italian island of Sicily. Darba mērķis bija novērtēt dažādu substrātu un mēslošanas līdzekļu ietekmi uz augu augšanu, attīstību un to fizioloģiskajiem parametriem. Pētījumu veica ar Moldāvijas pūķgalvi, novērtējot substrātu, mēslojuma veidu un to koncentrāciju ietekmi uz augu augšanu un fizioloģiskajiem procesiem tajos. Augus audzēja veģetācijas traukos, kur par substrātu izmantoja kūdru vai melnzemi, kam pievienoja dažādus mēslojumus: mikrobioloģisko mēslojumu “Biomikss”, minerālo mēslojumu “Kristalon”, kā arī 20% vermikompostu un 30% vermikompostu. Background Athletic performance is affected by emotional state. Athletes may underperform in competition due to poor emotion regulation. Movement speed plays an important role in many competition events. Flexible control of movement speed is critical for effective athletic performance. The Osteocephalus buckleyi species group is widely distributed in primary and secondary forests of the Amazon Basin and Guiana Region. Based on integrative analysis, including morphological and genetic data, we estimate the phylogenetic relationships and species boundaries among populations of the Osteocephalus buckleyi group from the Ecuadorian Amazon, focusing on the O. verruciger-O. cannatellai species complex. Our results uncovered the existence of one confirmed candidate species from Sangay National Park and one unconfirmed candidate species.
