Group Analysis and the Self: The Political-Environmental-Transpersonal

1996

In this paper the authors try to put the basis for a new sense of group analysis, meant as the psychology of the field and the future, able to unblock saturated sets of meanings. Their work with groups has shown that there is a time in the group analytic process in which the individual explores the possibility of changeover. That time is also the space for the foundation of a new Self: the space for the difference, the space for the fight for giving and receiving'.

Autonomous Operation of Stationary Battery Energy Storage Systems—Optimal Storage Design and Economic Potential

2021

Global warming requires a changeover from fossil fuel based to renewable energy sources on the electrical supply side and electrification of the demand side. Due to the transient nature of renewables and fluctuating demand, buffer capacities are necessary to compensate for supply/demand imbalances. Battery energy storage systems are promising. However, the initial costs are high. Repurposing electric vehicle batteries can reduce initial costs. Further, storage design optimization could significantly improve costs. Therefore, a battery control algorithm was developed, and a simulation study was performed to identify the optimal storage design and its economic potential. The algorithm used is…

About the Insoluble to the Soluble Prussian Blue Transformation

2009

Figure 1 shows firstly an increase of the motional resistance during the first scan of the transformation process, denoting an increase of the viscoelasticity of this structure. Soluble Prussian Blue have a localized changeover in the properties of these films just when Fe(III) fraction reaches the characteristic value. Secondly, this Figure shows an increase of motional resistance in zone 2 of the voltammetric scan, proving more evident for the last cycles than for the first ones. The increase of the motional resistance in zone 2 records an increase of the PB coercive field which at the same time, is due to an interesting changeover in the PB physiochemical properties localized at this pot…

An Electronic Perspective On The Electrochemical Changeover In Prussian Blue-Like Materials

2009

Derivative voltabsometric scans together with previous electrogravimetric results allow to distinguish between the different electrochemical processes due to Fe-sites located into the Prussian Blue crystalline framework and other located next to ferrocyanide vacancies. The potassium, proton and hydrated proton counterions involved in these reactions are correlated to changes in near-UV/VIS/near-IR spectra. Potassium counter-ions show two different sites for insertion: one located into the crystalline framework and the other into ferrocyanide vacancies. From the monitoring of electroactive Fe-sites, it is possible to assume that the reduction of all Fe-sites located next to ferrocyanide vaca…

On the use of multi-parameter free energy relationships: the rearrangement of (Z)-arylhydrazones of 5-amino-3-benzoyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole into (2-aryl-5…

2010

Abstract By using a multi-parameter approach (a combination of Hammett/Ingold-Yukawa-Tsuno/Fujita-Nishioka free energy relationships) the mononuclear rearrangements of heterocycles (MRH) rates for five new ortho-substituted and ten new di-, tri-, or tetra-substituted (Z)-arylhydrazones of 5-amino-3-benzoyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole into the relevant (2-aryl-5-phenyl-2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ureas (in dioxane/water and in a large range of pS+ values) have been related to the electronic and proximity effects exerted by the present substituents, also considering previous results on some mono meta- and para-substituted (Z)-arylhydrazones. In every case, excellent correlation coefficients have been calculat…

Dualistisches Fortpflanzungsverhalten bei dem protogynen LippfischThalassoma bifasciatum und einige Beobachtungen über dessen Tag-Nacht-Wechsel

1973

1.Thalassoma bifasciatum is a protogynous wrasse with (partial) sexual dimorphism and male dichromatism. Sex-inversion takes place without affecting the color pattern. 2. Males with female-like color dress indulge in group spawning; males with the bright color pattern perform pair spawning. 3. Among the brightly colored males exists a well-established hierarchy. Dominant males only have a particular spawning area in which they spawn daily at a certain time around noon. The spawning area is optically marked by conspicuous behavior of the bright male. Courtship activities towards individual partners are rather superficial. 4. The female has the leading role in pair spawning. In the extremely …

Substituent effects on the mechanism changeover in a multipathway reaction: A model for the behavior of biological systems?

2009

By studying the rearrangement in dioxane/water of a series of (Z)-arylhydrazones of 5-amino-3- benzoyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole (1a-k) into the relevant (2-aryl-5-phenyl-2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ureas (2a-k) in a wide range of pS + (an operational scale of proton concentration in the mixed solvent used; dioxane/water, 1:1, v:v), the occurrence of three different reaction pathways (specific-acid- catalyzed, uncatalyzed, and general-base-catalyzed) for the relevant SNi process has been recently enlightened. The significantly different substituent effects on the three pathways cause some crossovers in the log kA,R versus pS + plots. Both the pS + value at which the crossover occurs and the width of the u…
