Evolution education in natural history museums

During 2009, scientists around the world will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, the father of the theory of evolution, and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his main thesis, On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection. Today, the theory of evolution is considered to be one of the greatest milestones in the history of science. Despite its undisputed merit in science, there seems to be constant turmoil around the theory in the public, which might be related to the incomplete understanding of the basic principles of evolution [1,2].

Aunque Ortega no emplea en sus escritos el término “intercultural”, expongo de qué modo es posible entender su perspectivismo en términos interculturales. Para ello además de conectarlo con los planteamientos de dos de los principales autores de la tradición hermenéutica como son Hans-Georg Gadamer y Charles Taylor, destaco la dimensión intercultural de su perspectivismo. International audience; This study opposes, on the one hand, the concept exposed by linguist and theoretician Charles Nodier (1780-1844) in his Elementary Notions in Linguistics (1834) referring to the inalterable spelling of proper nouns, and, on the other hand, his practice as a storyteller and creator in his Trilby (1822). A travers une analyse des écrits rassemblés sous le titre de Testimony de 1934 aux recueils posthumes de 1978 et 1979 - Testimony : The United States (1885 - 1915) : Recitative -, cet ouvrage entremêle une réflexion sur le lyrisme dans son rapport vis-à-vis de l'esthétique moderniste et les enjeux propres de l'écriture dite du "récitatif".
