One of the fundamental results in quantum foundations is the Kochen-Specker no-go theorem. For the quantum theory, the no-go theorem excludes the possibility of a class of hidden variable models where value attribution is context independent. Recently, the notion of contextuality has been generalized for different operational procedures and it has been shown that preparation contextuality of mixed quantum states can be a useful resource in an information-processing task called parity-oblivious multiplexing. Mahonian STAT on rearrangement class of words

In 2000, Babson and Steingr\'{i}msson generalized the notion of permutation patterns to the so-called vincular patterns, and they showed that many Mahonian statistics can be expressed as sums of vincular pattern occurrence statistics. STAT is one of such Mahonian statistics discoverd by them. In 2016, Kitaev and the third author introduced a words analogue of STAT and proved a joint equidistribution result involving two sextuple statistics on the whole set of words with fixed length and alphabet. On differences and similarities in the analysis of Lorenz, Chen, and Lu systems

Currently it is being actively discussed the question of the equivalence of various Lorenz-like systems and the possibility of universal consideration of their behavior (Algaba et al., 2013a,b, 2014b,c; Chen, 2013; Chen and Yang, 2013; Leonov, 2013a), in view of the possibility of reduction of such systems to the same form with the help of various transformations. In the present paper the differences and similarities in the analysis of the Lorenz, the Chen and the Lu systems are discussed. It is shown that the Chen and the Lu systems stimulate the development of new methods for the analysis of chaotic systems. Open problems are discussed.

Granice zewnętrzne Unii Europejskiej a bezpieczeństwo narodowe państw członkowskich w kontekście współczesnego kryzysu migracyjnego

Unia Europejska jest miejscem, w którym swoboda obywateli wyrażona jest poprzez możliwość przemieszania się, podróżowania, pracy,nauki lub życia w wybranym kraju UE. Realizacja tej wolności była wynikiem zniesienia kontroli na granicach wewnętrznych Unii. Jednak dla członka UE ceną tej wolności jest konieczność zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa narodowego, co sprawia, że ochronę granic zewnętrznych postrzega się jako specjalne zadanie. Unia Europejska, za pośrednictwem układu z Schengen, tworzy instytucje w zakresie ochrony granic zewnętrznych, w zakresie zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa narodowego państw członkowskich. Obecny kryzys migracyjny jest weryfikacją skuteczności tych instytucji.
