Obésité et préférences alimentaires : études comportementales et neuro-imagerie fonctionnelle, focus chez l'enfant

Children with eating disorders secondarily to artificial nutrition in the neonatal period have specific food preferences and saliva composition
2016
- Objectives and studyIn the neonatal period, some severe digestive diseases require the cessation of oral feeding and the use of enteral or parenteral nutrition for prolonged periods. In some cases, this by-pass of the oral cavity during the early stages of feeding results in the development of so-called oral disorders (OD). Oral disorders may persist for years after healing of the causal disease, and are expressed for example by an exacerbated gag reflex, difficulties in chewing and swallowing and high food selectivity. The aim of this study were to describe the consequences on oral physiology of oral by-pass and enteral nutrition in a population of 21 children who suffered oral disorder (…
Impact of viable CD45 cells infused on lymphocyte subset recovery after unrelated cord blood transplantation in children
2010
International audience; We studied lymphocyte recovery in 88 children who consecutively underwent unrelated cord blood transplantation for malignant (n = 64) or nonmalignant (n = 24) diseases. All children but 3 received myeloablative conditioning regimens with pretransplant antithymocyte globulin. Median age was 5.6 years (0.1-18 years) and median follow-up was 40 months (10-136 months). The median dose of infused viable CD45(+) cells (vCD45) was 3.35 × 10(7)/kg with a ratio infused vCD45/collected total nucleated cell at 0.46. Immunologic endpoints were: time to achieve CD3(+) >500 and 1500/mm(3), CD4(+) >500/mm(3), CD8(+) >250/mm(3), CD19(+) >200/mm(3), natural killer >100/mm(3). These e…
Who should choose children's mid-afternoon snack: the mothers or their children?
2019
International audience; Children's mid-afternoon snack is usually characterized by the consumption of fatty and sweetened foods (Anses, 2017). To the best of our knowledge, no study has investigated differences or similarities in terms of nutritional quality of mid-afternoon snack choices made by children or by their mothers. Our first goal was to compare the nutritional quality of children's mid-afternoon snack choices made by mothers or by themselves. Our second goal was to see whether the potential differences were maintained or not when mothers and children were informed about the product's nutritional quality. We invited 95 mother-child dyads (children mean age = 9.4±0.10) to choose in…

Fouille d’un quartier funéraire des Ier et IIe s. dans le suburbium de Soissons/Augusta Suessionum : aires de crémation et inhumations d’enfants
2012
In the beginning of 2008 a preventive excavation has been conducted on about 1200 m2 of a large antique cemetery situated upon the butte Saint-Jean at Soissons (Aisne). In this cemetery, almost unknown, located south-west of the Roman town Augusta Suessionum a consistent activity in the part being excavated took place between the Augustan era and mid 2nd c. The total number of inhumations uncovered is 186 (mainly of infants). Cremations were executed from the very beginning altogether with inhumations, in more or less close proximity to them according to periods, then became predominant to the detriment of burials which were just previously arranged. Different structures clearly connected t…
