Adherence to an Injury Prevention Warm-Up Program in Children’s Soccer : A Secondary Analysis of a Randomized Controlled Trial

This study examined the impact of high adherence to a neuromuscular training (NMT) warm-up on the risk of lower extremity (LE) injuries in children’s soccer. Twenty U11–U14 youth clubs (n = 92 teams, 1409 players) were randomized into intervention (n = 44 teams) and control (n = 48 teams) groups. The intervention group was advised to perform an NMT warm-up 2 to 3 times a week for 20 weeks. Team adherence, injuries, and exposure were registered throughout the follow-up. Primary outcomes were the incidence of soccer-related acute LE injuries and the prevalence of overuse LE injuries. In 2000, the preventive excavation of the Ensisheim/Reguisheimerfeld site (Haut-Rhin), carried out by the ANTEA SARL company, brought to light 87 funerary structures belonging to a cremation necropolis dating from the beginning of the Late Bronze Age (around 1350-1050 BC). Following study of the material, 3 successive chronological phases and a possible cultural "faciès" centred on the bend in the Rhine at Basel, Switzerland, were distinguished. The aim of this study was to examine and quantify the cross-sectional associations of body composition (BC), physical activity (PA) and sedentary time (ST) with physical fitness (PF) in children and adolescents. A sample of 594 Finnish students (56% girls), aged 9–15 (12.4 ± 1.3 years) were selected for a study performed in 2013. Introduction: The purpose of our study was to perform a comparative analysis of social cognition in children and adolescents with epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specific learning disorder (SLD) and in typical development (TD) controls. Työrauhaongelmat ovat viimeaikoina herättäneet runsaasti peruskoulua koskevaa keskustelua. Vuorovaikutus työrauhan takaamiseksi kouluissa näyttää nousevan keskeiseksi opettajan asiantuntijuudessa. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on ymmärtää työrauhan rakentumista opettajan ja oppilaan välisessä vuorovaikutuksessa. Tavoitteena on selvittää, millaisissa tilanteissa työrauha estyy ja millaisilla luokanhallintakeinoilla opettajat puuttuvat oppilaiden työrauhaa häiritsevään käyttäytymiseen.
