The facade of the church of the Pious Schools of Gandia has not attracted the attention of researchers. However, its conception has a great architectural culture and constitutes an essential work to understand its context, fundamentally, that of the theoretical treatises of the Renaissance. The engraving of València from the Primera parte de la crónica by Pere Antoni Beuter, originally published in 1546, is the first overview of the city as a whole. It includes a large number of constructions and features of València, configuring, in addition, the most characteristic point of view to represent the city: the northern. Its modernity has to be compared with other valencian and contemporary peninsular urban engravings. Šis pētnieciskais darbs aplūko, kā identitāte un telpa tiek attēlotas Sandras Sisneros romānos „The House on Mango Street” (1989), „Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories” (1992) un „Caramelo” (2003). Pētījuma mērķis ir izzināt, kā, parvietošanās un dzīves vietas pārmaiņu procesā, vieta ietekmē varoņu hibrīdidentitātes, ļauj saglabāt vietējā iezīmes globālā kontekstā. Pētījums tika veikts ar teksta tuvlasījuma analīzes palīdzību no naratoloģijas perspektīvas. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti var tikt izmantoti tālākai identitātes un telpas atainojuma Čikano literatūrā izpētei. Tutkielmassa analysoin isän vaikutusta tyttären identiteettiin Sandra Cisneroksen romaaneissa The House on Mango Street ja Caramelo. Yhdysvaltalainen Cisneros, jonka juuret ovat Meksikossa, kuvaa naisten asemaa Yhdysvaltain meksikolaistaustaisessa kulttuurissa. Aiemmissa Cisneros-tutkimuksissa on usein todettu Cisneroksen isä-kuvausten olevan positiivisempia kuin isät yleensä yhdysvaltalaisten naisten kirjoissa. Ensimmäinen tutkimuskysymyksistäni onkin analysoida mitkä tekijät vaikuttavat siihen, että Cisneroksen kuvaamat isät näyttäisivät olevan positiivempia hahmoja kuin isät yleensä tämän genren kirjallisuudessa.
