Artykuł powstał w oparciu o p onad 35-letnie zbieranie dokumentów i relacji od dużej liczby polskich ekspatriantów z ziem wschodnich dawnej Rzeczypospolitej, które Polska utraciła w wyniku decyzji międzynarodowych konferencji w Jałcie i Poczdamie w 1945 r. Prawo petycji w teorii i praktyce Sejmu VIII kadencji

Prawo petycji zostało wprowadzone do polskiego porządku prawnego w Konstytucji marcowej z 1921 r. W kolejnych ustawach zasadniczych przepis ten został wykreślony i pojawił się ponownie w Konstytucji Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej z 1997 r. Przez wiele lat prawo petycji było nieprecyzyjnie określone (mylone często ze skargami i wnioskami). W artykule dokonano analizy petycji wnoszonych w trakcie VIII kadencji Sejmu, ponieważ była pierwszą, w której obywatele mogli w pełni realizować swoje uprawnienie, zgodnie z ustawą o petycjach uchwaloną 11 lipca 2014 r. Examining how global citizenship education is prefigured in the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence

This study uses the Aristotelian notion of phronesis as a critical lens for examining how global citizenship education is prefigured in the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. Based on a content analysis of key curriculum documentation, the findings outline the way in which techne and episteme with their associated ways of knowing and acting dominate the curriculum. Nevertheless, the hints of phronesis indicate the potential for developing a more critical form of global citizenship education that prefigures praxis that wisely pursues that which is good for humankind and individual flourishing. Cuadernos de Agora (1956-1964) was a post-war magazine directed by the poet Concha Lagos. His short story (nearly eight years) was characterized by the independent and participatory spirit, also tended bridges to other magazines outside the Spanish territory, both in Europe and in Latin America. Citizenship, populism and social work in the Finnish welfare state

This chapter ties together discussions of citizenship and social work practice in the context of growing populist and neoliberal political trends in Finland. These political trends are manifested in populist right-wing nationalist movements on the one hand, and in the neoliberal dismantling of the welfare state on the other. Both political trends – right-wing nationalist populism and neoliberalism – tend to separate people into two groups: those who are ‘deserving’ and those who are ‘undeserving’.
