Camorra e mafie di mezzo in alcuni recenti contributi delle scienze sociali
2018
Interacting with the lively debate on petitions and the various forms of appeal to the authorities written in different spatial and temporal contexts, the article deals with the analysis of a group of “discrimination” requests addressed to the General Directorate for Demography and Race by a sample of female Italian citizens qualified as belonging to the “Jewish race” in Autumn 1938. Women’s petitions represented a minority within the broader corpus of requests for derogation from the Anti-Semitic Fascist legislation. They are nonetheless a source of great importance, both to illuminate the relevance of the “discrimination” procedures from the persecuted point of view, and to shed fresh lig…
Digital competences and teaching of classical languages
2018
Digital competence belongs to the competences that were recommended by the European Parliament in 2006 as a part of the students' training in citizenship. However, it is perceived that students of classical languages could face bigger disadvantage just because of the type of studies they chose to undertake. For this reason, we ask ourselves what is the perception of students of classical disciplines regarding the use of new technologies in classrooms and what competences they consider to be developed within these studies. Using a participatory approach/vision of the world and using a qualitative case study methodology, we collect data through semi-structured interviews with Italian and Span…

The aim of the present research is to retread the didactic and pedagogical proposal of Aldo Capitini regarding the teaching of religion. He is the founder of Non-violent Italian Movement and proposes a new religion inspired by the vision of the India Master Mahatma Gandhi. By using a phenomenological and hermeneutic method I examined various sources: literary (books, articles, critical literature), ar-chive files (epistolary, memos, lecture notes) legislatives, visual, audio-visual, in-ternet. Capitini elaborates an “open religion” to be taught in the “school of the future”, a laical religion that establishes a dialogue with all the different religious traditions and goes beyond the separat…
