The Spanish republican project that came into power in 1931 relied on a strong support of the cultural world. Written media were used to spread its reforms that it supported. In political and literary circles, numerous publications were released by established writers as well as by the witness of this period. The publication of newspapers went on during the Civil War. Even the boats that transfered the refugees to Mexico, had three publications that proclaimed the necessity of staying united after the arrival. This intention was implicit in the school newspapers of the four Spanish schools in the Mexican capital and helped to keep track of Spain’s presence as a common referent.

This contribution challenges the idea of the existence of a one-size-fits-all rule that always prohibits or permits outside forcible intervention upon the request of a government engaged in a civil war. Civil wars are complex situations. It seems quite unrealistic to make abstractions of the “topography” of the conflict between the legal principles concretely at stake in each case. By April 20th, as per the World Health Organization Data, COVID-19 as a pandemic has caused 2,407,414 cases, and 165,073 confirmed deaths in 213 different countries worldwide. Elderly patients and those with comorbid illnesses with COVID-19 infection have poor outcomes. Cancer patients are immunosuppressed, and at an increased risk of COVID-19 infection and have worse outcomes as compared to the general population. Resumen Durante la Guerra Civil española (1936-1939) unos 5000 niños y niñas tuvieron que marchar al exilio, encontrando en Bélgica un nuevo hogar de acogida temporal. Al finalizar el conflicto bélico, la mayoría de ellos fueron repatriados y regresaron junto a sus familias o a centros benéfico-paternalistas franquistas. Alrededor de un millar no regresaron por diferentes motivos. The research topic of this dissertation is the press of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) from the March revolution of 1917 in Russia to the end of the Finnish Civil War in the spring of 1918. Under research are 16 party papers, which, however, were not owned by the party, and therefore neither under its guidance nor control. The papers' owners, local working class organizations, elected the editors-in-chief, who often held central posts in the party. In this way they could use their relatively independent positions to further their political views in their editorials. After the patrimonial destruction that took place during the Civil War of 1936-1939 in the city of Cartagena, religious art and especially sacred sculpture, is greatly affected. The artistic expressions that the Passionist entities took to the streets on the days of Holy Week, disappear almost in their entirety, having to start a tremendously costly reconstruction process in order to alleviate the losses suffered. The Cofradía California commissioned the renovation of its sculptural patrimony heritage, which came to replace the wealth of the works of Salzillo, to the Valencian artist Mariano Benlliure Gil.
