La ecología del mirlo Turdus merula en los naranjales: un estudio a largo plazo

Se estudiaron algunos aspectos demográficos y de la biología reproductiva del mirlo común Turdus merula en una superficie de 17 ha dedicada al cultivo del naranjo en la localidad valenciana de Sagunto. Mediante la aplicación mixta de la técnica de la parcela y de la búsqueda de nidos se calculó el número de parejas nidificantes desde 1975 hasta 2015 y se obtuvo información sobre el tamaño de la puesta, el éxito reproductor y las causas del fracaso de los nidos. Hysteretic Systems Subjected to Delta Correlated Input

The paper deals with the evaluation of the probabilistic response of a single degree of freedom elastic-perfectly plastic system subjected to a delta correlated input process. The probabilistic characterisation of the response is here obtained by considering the accumulated plastic deformations as a compound homogeneous Poisson process independent of the external input. In this case the former can be considered as an external noise acting on the linear system. A closed form solution is also obtained and the analytic expression is compared with the customary Monte-Carlo method.

Stochastic linearization for the response of MDOF systems subjected to external and parametric Gaussian excitations

The stochastic linearization approach is examined for the most general case of non zero-mean response of non-linear MDOF systems subjected to parametric and external Gaussian white excitations. It is shown that, for these systems too, stochastic linearization and Gaussian closure are two equivalent approaches if the former is applied to the coefficients of the Ito differential rule. Moreover, an extension of the Atalik-Utku approach to non zero-mean response systems allows to obtain simple formulations for the linearized drift coefficients. Some applications show the good accuracy of the method.

In the public debate in Finland, same-sex couples’ right to legal recognition is routinely defended by stressing their sameness to heterosexual couples within the discourse of romantic love. This article explores how bisexual women and their partners use these discourses. The five couple interviews were analyzed by implementing discourse analysis. The results highlight how, when taking positions within the discourse of the enduring couple relationship, the interviewees drew on the discourse of romantic love. At present, the metazoan parasite fauna of most species of otariids is generally poorly known, in part because these marine mammals are mostly protected and, therefore, sampling is limited to specimens stranded on the coast or captured as by-catch in fisheries. Similar problems also occur for the larval stages of gastrointestinal helminths of otariids. For most of these parasite species, the specific identity of the intermediate/paratenic of hosts is unknown and, therefore, many stages of their life cycles remain to be described.
