Research has shown that outdoor educational interventions can lead to students' increased self-regulated motivational behavior. In this study, we searched into the satisfaction of basic psychological needs (BPN), i.e., autonomy support, the learners' experience of competence, and relatedness, both within the peer group and with their teachers, through outdoor learning. From 2014 to 2016, n = 281 students attended “research weeks” at a Student Science Lab in the Alpine National Park Berchtesgaden (Germany). However, some children may lack the skills and confidence to be physically active. As teachers’ reading motivation and self-efficacy for promoting reading motivation can be considered vital for their reading-oriented promotive teaching practices and students’ reading motivation, this study evaluated the impact of a year-long CPD program for beginning primary school teachers. A convergent parallel mixed-methods design with repeated measures was established, including a comparison and two CPD conditions (group vs. individually-oriented). El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo examinar el poder predictivo de variables del sistema motivacional sobre las habilidades iniciales de lectura y matemáticas en una muestra de niños de Educación Infantil.
