Long-Run Determinants and Short-Run Dynamics of the Trade Balance in the Eu-15 Countries

Several studies have analyzed the long-run determinants of current account balances using panel cointegration techniques. In this paper we will study both the long-run determinants and the short-run dynamics of the trade balances in the EU-15 countries. We will analyze each country separately and decompose the aggregate trade balance into the intra balance (trade balance vis-a-vis euro area) and the extra balance (trade balance vis-a-vis the rest of the world). Overall, our results suggest that there are significant differences in the long-run relations across the EU-15 countries which might be overlooked in the panel cointegration studies. El artículo pretende documentar una serie de monedas visigodas de oro y bronce encontradas fortuitamente dentro de la provincia de Cáceres, todas ellas de forma aislada y en solitario. La procedencia exacta de todas las piezas no se conoce del todo, aunque están circunscritas con seguridad a Cáceres. Además, dos de las monedas son inéditas: un triente pseudo-imperial a nombre de Justiniano I y un tremís de Égica y Witiza procedente de Acci. Vitamin D and Osteoporosis in HIV/HCV Coinfected Patients: A Literature Review

Vitamin D deficiency further increases the risk of osteoporosis in HIV-positive patients coinfected with hepatitis C virus (HCV); however, it is still unclear whether HCV-related increased fracture risk is a function of the severity of liver disease. The aim of this review was to identify studies on associative vitamin D deficiency patterns in high-risk populations such as HIV/HCV coinfected patients. We did this by searching MEDLINE and EMBASE databases, from inception to August 2014, and included bibliographies. Kriptovalūtu volatilitātes modelēšana un prognozēšana

Maģistra darbā ir veikta GARCH volatilitātes modelēšana četrām, pēc tirgus kapitalizācijas, lielākajām kriptovalūtām: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin un Ripple. Darba empīriskajā daļā, tiek veikta kriptovalūtu GARCH, TGARCH, EGARCH un PGARCH modelēšana un prognozēšana izmantojot normālo un stjūdenta t sadalījumus, aplūkojot laika periodu no 07.08.2015 līdz 27.03.2018. Labākais modelis tiek noteikts salīdzinot trīs modeļu informācijas kritērijus un modeļu prognozes novērtējumus. Kaut arī stjūdenta t sadalījuma izmantošana uzlaboja modeļu novērtējumu visām četrām kriptovalūtām, tomēr tas ne vienmēr uzlaboja modeļa prognozi.
