This work aims to describe the wine fermentation characteristics of 23 natural S. cerevisiae × S. kudriavzevii hybrid yeasts related to fermentative environments isolated from different regions and their significance for the aroma spectra of the produced wines. Fermentations were performed at 12 °C in artificial must, and S. cerevisiae and S. kudriavzevii pure species strains were used for comparison purposes. The origin of zircon grains, and other exotic minerals of typical crustal origin, in mantle-hosted ophiolitic chromitites are hotly debated.We report a population of zircon grains with ages ranging from Cretaceous (99 Ma) to Neoarchean (2750 Ma), separated from massive chromitite bodies hosted in the mantle section of the supra-subduction (SSZ)-type Mayarí-Baracoa Ophiolitic Belt in eastern Cuba. Most analyzed zircon grains (n = 20, 287 +/- 3 Ma to 2750 +/- 60 Ma) are older than the early Cretaceous age of the ophiolite body, show negative εHf(t) (+/-26 to +/-0.6) and occasional inclusions of quartz, K-feldspar, biotite, and apatite that indicate derivation from a granitic continental crust…

Probing the radial collective oscillation of a trapped quantum system is an accurate experimental tool to investigate interactions and dimensionality effects. We consider a fully polarized quasi-one dimensional dipolar quantum gas of bosonic dysprosium atoms in a parabolic trap at zero temperature. We model the dipolar gas with an effective quasi-one dimensional Hamiltonian in the single-mode approximation, and derive the equation of state using a variational approximation based on the Lieb-Liniger gas Bethe Ansatz wavefunction or perturbation theory. In this context, tropical uro-genital schistosomiasis is now permanently established in Corsica since its first emergence in 2013.
