Il testo, partendo da un inedito calco in gesso patinato della prima metà del ‘900 rinvenuto sul mercato antiquario, analizza il gruppo bronzeo con Eracle e la cerva di Cerinea del Museo Archeologico “A. Salinas” di Palermo da cui è tratto (fine I sec. a.C. – I sec. d.C.), descrivendone il tipo iconografico e individuandone l’archetipo lisippeo, attraverso il raffronto con esempi di età imperiale, tardo-antica e medievale. The collection of works in Trapanese coral exhibited at the XXXI International Biennial of Antiques in Florence demonstrates show such production was characterized by a consistently high cultural level and refined artistic knowledge. This volume constitutes the second stage of a research project which, through a detailed study of the accounts of foreign travellers who arrived in Sicily between the 17th and 19th centuries, has identified descriptions of the Sicilian decorative arts seen during their itineraries. After having published the results of the research on the diaries of English travellers in the volume Beauty and Splendour - Le Arti Decorative siciliane nei diari dei viaggiatori inglesi tra XVIII e XIX secolo, the results of the scientific research on the diaries of French travellers are presented here.

This paper describes the general procedure followed to build a system of indicators for monitoring and evaluating the Strategy for Culture and Development of Spanish Cooperation. The OpenCourseWare project, an open learning resource repository, was established at the University of Valencia between 2008 and2009. It initially consisted of only 10 subjects, none of which was in the field of Health Sciences. The objective of this research was toinvestigate the attitudes and perceptions of faculty members in the field of Health Sciences with regard to the project to identify strategies to increase its use and expand its coverage. [EN] The paper concerns the 3D reconstruction and virtual restoration of a painted rock-cut chamber tombs located in the interior of Southern Etruria (Viterbo Province, Central Italy). The tomb was discovered in 1901 in a place named Pranzovico and it dates from the mid-fifth century BC; it has a cross plan with central atrium (decorated with paintings) and three chambers in which there are the rock-cut funerary beds. The paintings have been largely destroyed by illegal excavators in the days immediately following the discovery; during the 20th century it was damaged due to agricultural works in the surroundings and now it is partially filled up. Although Miguel Parra Abril (Valencia, 1780-Madrid, 1846) is one of the most important Valencian School painters of floral still lifes, this aspect of his work remains little known. The present article addresses this oversight in two ways. First, by offering an overview of his oeuvre as a painter of floral subjects from his student days at the Fine Arts Academy of Valencia through his mature works.
