EXPANSION OF GLOBAL RULE BY LAW ENFORCEMENT: COLOMBIA’S EXTRADITION EXPERIENCE, 1999–2017

We argue that transnational criminal law has enacted a global rule by law enforcement agencies, at odds with the rule of law. Mutual legal assistance agreements (MLAA) allow exporting law enforcement practices without proper judicial oversight. Consequently defendants required in extradition are exposed to abuses, as illustrated here with extradition cases from Colombia to the United States of America (USA) in the past decades. Colombeau algebras are defined as quotients of spaces containing the representatives of generalized functions given by smooth mappings: R:C∞(Ω,D(Ω))→C∞(Ω), where Ω is an open subset of Rn. In this paper the notion of locality defined by the author for a representative R of a nonlinear generalized function is characterized in such a way that the representative depends only on its ∞-jet. Finally, the author examines the possibility of defining a notion of order for the mapping R.

The disappearance of the so-called «real socialism» has concealed the validity of the Marxist analysis of social reality. One of the sets of hypotheses that has best maintained its heuristic capacity is the Marxist theory of needs. The Marxist hypotheses have been developed in debate with other conventional conceptions. Currently, feminism and the ecological analysis of needs are renewing the views of Heller and Habermas.

RESUMEN: La formulación de preguntas es un potente recurso para el aprendizaje de las ciencias. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar el desarrollo de la competencia metacognitiva por medio de la formulación de preguntas. En este estudio se usaron dos dispositivos experimentales de ciencias con un comportamiento inesperado. Se pidió a los participantes realizar preguntas destinadas a comprender su funcionamiento. La evaluación contrastó el desempeño de estudiantes colombianos con estudiantes españoles equivalentes. Objectives To validate the Living with Chronic Illness (LW-CI) Scale in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Design Observational, cross-sectional validation study with retest. Acceptability, reliability, precision and construct validity were tested.
