Public collections of microorganisms have been established since the late 19th century, and currently 573 service collections are registered at the World Data Center for Microorganisms (www.wdcm.org). All together, they hold more than 1.5 million microorganisms. By implementing guidelines compiled by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), many public service collections evolve into professional ex situ repositories of biodiversity and distribution nodes for known, validated and precisely identified microbial resources and associated information to legitimate end-users. The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS recorded in 2007 a large sample of K+ ? µ+?µ decays. A peak search in the missing mass spectrum of this decay is performed. In the absence of observed signal, the limits obtained on B(K+ ? µ+?h) and on the mixing matrix element |Uµ 4| are reported. The upgraded NA62 experiment started data taking in 2015. About 5×1011K+ decays have been recorded so far to measure the branching ratio of the K+ ? ?+?? decay. Preliminary results from the K+ ? ?+?? analysis based on about 5% of the 2016 statistics are reported.
Author Rights vs Self-Archiving in Spanish Scientific Journals

AbstractThe paper analyzes publishers’ copyright policies and self-archiving conditions of Spanish scientific journals. Data are extracted from the directory DULCINEA that contains information of 1318 Spanish journals, of which 775 (61%) allow some form of self-archiving to be about 60% of the post-print version and allowing them 87% of the deposit of the version of record. In 72% of journals the deposit can be performed immediately after publication and in 16% after article acceptance. 72% of the journals are freely available without charge to the user this figure raises up to 86% if free access after an embargo is considered. A framework for sign language sentence recognition by common sense context

This correspondence proposes a complete framework for sign language recognition that integrates a commonsense engine in order to deal with sentence recognition. The proposed system is based on a multilevel architecture that allows modeling and managing of the knowledge of the recognition process in a simple and robust way. The final abstraction level of this architecture introduces the semantic context and the analysis of the correctness of a sentence given in a sequence of recognized signs. Many of the learning difficulties in the specific domain of chemistry are found not only in the ideas already possessed by students but in the strategic and procedural knowledge that is characteristic of everyday thinking. Conclusion: Transfer of the Rhetoric of Procedure to British Debating Societies

In the concluding chapter, Haapala demonstrates why nineteenth-century British rhetoric should be appreciated more than previous studies suggest. While highlighting the political relevance of the British debating societies, the chapter illuminates the crucial role of the transfer of the rhetoric of procedure from the House of Commons to the Union Societies. Instead of focusing on the role of speech-making in British political culture, it puts forward an interpretation of the Unions as forerunners in the adoption of parliamentary procedure.

Haapala introduces a rhetorical approach to studying parliamentary debate. Focusing on the debating practices of the Oxford and Cambridge Unions, the chapter suggests that an extraordinary relationship was formed between debate and parliamentary procedure in the Unions and the mid nineteenth-century House of Commons.
