Trust management in tactical coalition software defined networks
2018
This paper reports from ongoing efforts related to trust management in tactical Software Defined Networks (SDN) when used with mobile nodes in a coalition operation. We analyze the problem space and suggests a set of security and contructional requirements, as well as an analysis on how existing technology may contribute to a solution. The proposed architecture serves as a guide for current and future experimentation on trust management and protection in SDN. The paper also reports from experimental investigations into the utility of these technology elements for the present purpose.

Abstract Let G be a finite group. We prove that if the set of degrees of characters in the principal p-block of G has size at most 2 then G is p-solvable, and G / O p ′ ( G ) has a metabelian normal Sylow p-subgroup. The general question of proving that if an arbitrary p-block has two degrees then their defect groups are metabelian remains open.
PRIvacy LEakage Methodology (PRILE) for IDS Rules

This paper introduces a methodology for evaluating PRIvacy LEakage in signature-based Network Intrusion Detection System (IDS) rules. IDS rules that expose more data than a given percentage of all data sessions are defined as privacy leaking. Furthermore, it analyses the IDS rule attack specific pattern size required in order to keep the privacy leakage below a given threshold, presuming that occurrence frequencies of the attack pattern in normal text are known. The present article deals with the Italian Electronic Health Record (hereinafter ehr), recently introduced by Act 221/2012, with a specific focus on personal data protection. Privacy issues — e.g., informed consent, data processing, patients’ rights and minors’ will — are discussed within the framework of recent e-Health legislation, national Data Protection Code, the related Data Protection Authority pronouncements and eu law. The paper is aimed at discussing the problems arising from a complex, fragmentary and sometimes uncertain legal framework on e-Health.

Multi-Platform Agent Systems with Dynamic Reputation Policy Management

Open, distributed multi-platform agent systems require new management approaches for resources and data secure access. In this paper a Jade-S based multi-platform agent system implementing dynamic reputation policy management is proposed. The implemented extension deals with biometrics, X-Security, DES cryptography and agent reputation. With more details, the proposed reputation management system helps to assess the agent's behavior and reliability, in order to select trusted agents. This is made possible by the knowledge that agents are able to acquire, over time, and that allows them to choose the best solution using own intelligence in total autonomy.
