Modular fastening system and tool–holder working unit for incremental forming

Incremental forming can be usually unfolded either on CNC milling machine–tools or serial industrial robots. The approach proposed in this paper tackles the problem of designing a modular fastening system, which can be adapted for both above mentioned technological equipment. The fastening system of the sheet–metal workpiece is composed of a fixing plate and a retaining plate. Abstract The position was one of the first parameters that required the introduction of automatic control process. One of the most representative applications is represented by the feed drives of the computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Today, it is possible to use computer simulation techniques in analysing and synthesising position control systems. Thus, the behaviour of the CNC machine tools feed drives can be treated much more realistically. It is the purpose of this paper to show how simulation can be used to accurately represent, predict and improve the performance of a CNC machine tool feed servo drives.

A perpetrator can utilize adversarial examples when attacking Machine Learning models used in a cloud data platform service. Transient stability simulation of a fixed speed wind turbine by Matlab/Simulink

This paper describes the dynamic behavior of a typical fixed speed wind turbine connected to the grid; the model is developed in the simulation tool Matlab/Simulink and created as a modular structure. The pitch control system is used for stabilization of the wind turbine at grid faults. In this way, voltage stability of the system with grid-connected wind turbines can be improved by using blade-angle control for a temporary reduction of the wind turbine power during a short-circuit fault in the grid. Design and Assessment of Optimized EMI Filters for Avionic Applications

This paper presents a procedure to design EMI filters to reduce the electromagnetic disturbances generated by electrical apparatus used in avionic environment. The method proposed can be useful to save weight and size of the attenuation systems, and keep their effectiveness in agreement with the standard requirements. A design of a set of different filters with different topological characteristics is presented for a case study about an electrical actuator used for an aircraft onboard application. Performances and reliabilities of the attenuation systems are assessed by suitable full compliance experimental tests.
