ROUGHNESS CONTROL OF PARTS OBTAINED THROUGH INCREMENTAL SHEET FORMING

2007

Abstract The present paper adresses the issue of controlling the quality of surface in the case of a new sheet metal forming process by which various curved shells are formed without the help of expensive dies. The roughness of the surface which comes in direct contact with the punch at incremental sheet forming suffers an obvious worsening compared to the initial blank surface roughness. The present paper discusses the measuring of the roughness of parts obtained through the previously mentioned process and highlights the factors that influence it. There were taken into account the initial roughness of the punch, the punch diameter and the friction coefficient between the punch and the bla…

The paper aims to provide the mentoring experience made in Romanian schools, developed as a result of the Erasmus + project entitled “Mentoring Between teachers from secondary and high schools” project No. 2014-1-PL01-KA200-003335. Thus, we seek to present the work and the general considerations in connection with the mentoring theme, how we decided on the curriculum in order to form mentors, how mentors were selected and what was the result of their mentoring work. It is important to observe the main obstacles in the mentoring process were and how these problems could be solved. Using semantics to facilitate data integration of offshore wind farms

2012

Operation and maintenance play an important role in extracting power from the wind, especially, in offshore wind energy where wind farms are located far off the shore and under harsh weather conditions. Improved operation and maintenance is likely to reduce costs as well as hazard exposure of the employees. Implementation of advanced information technology is thus crucial for operating offshore wind farms effectively and efficiently and hence improves operation and maintenance. However, information availability and reliability are key issues for their use in the offshore wind domain. In addition, the semantic of information has not been exploited thoroughly. This paper describes the develop…

Facilitating Elements for the Transmission of the Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Classroom

2014

There have been countless tests made to confirm that creativity is a critical skill for entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial training (Schmidt, J. et al. 2012), even more, practices on divergent thinking increases the entrepreneurial skills of students to generate a greater number and range of ideas, but not, their approaches to solve problems in a creative way. This situation raises a number of questions that should be analyzed before adding creativity and techniques to improve the training of creative thinking to studies (classes), about and in entrepreneurship, as a training channel, improvement or even to the generation of entrepreneurs. Our goal is to show that entrepreneurship is a…

CEOs’ Joy of Working for the Family Firm: The Role of Psychological Ownership and Stewardship Behavior

2021

Abstract In this article, we examine the factors which lead to CEOs’ joy of working for the family firm, as it is expected to contribute to their willingness to invest in its perpetuation and success. We focus on three such factors: CEOs’ collective psychological ownership, their individual psychological ownership, and CEOs’ stewardship behavior. We find that on the one hand, the relationship between CEOs’ collective psychological ownership and their joy of working for the family business is mediated by their stewardship behavior, and on the other hand, stewardship behavior mediates the relationship between CEOs’ individual psychological ownership and their joy of work. We make valuable con…

The data collection took place during three workshops, which were conducted using a problem-focused approach, with participants from each school. At the end of each workshop, participants were asked to fill in an electronic diary about their experience. The participants’ reflections after the first workshop were analysed to identify the use of a problem-focused appr…
