This paper uses the conceptual framework of multimodal discourse analysis in order to investigate the dominant styles and designs in selected Cultural and Media Studies (CMS) university textbooks. For many EFL students who major in philology, CMS courses are obligatory and thus constitute a type of content and language integrated learning (CLIL). The data from a description and evaluation of four popular textbooks indicate that there is a discernible move away from traditional literacy towards visuality and orality in textbook design and style. The refugee entrepreneurship process from/in emerging economies

The paper examines several refugee experiences in Mexico and presents their reasons for leaving their home countries. A gap in research is identifying the entrepreneurial process experienced by refugee entrepreneurs. We use the case study of 10 Latin American refugees in Mexico to propose a conceptual framework that describes the entrepreneurial process of refugee entrepreneurs. We have found that this process begins with the abandonment of the country of origin, followed by the traumatic experiences that caused flight and the difficulties they face in the pilgrimage to the host country. These events help shape the entrepreneurial intention of the refugees.

Older Peruvian Migrants’ Capacity and Desire to Send Remittances from Spain

This article draws on the conceptual framework of capacity and desire to analyze the remitting behavior of older Peruvian migrants in Spain. Cross-sectional survey data are explored using regression analysis to estimate how local and transnational factors relate to the sending of remittances. To reveal the complexities involved in this activity, the findings are discussed in the light of qualitative data gathered through semi-structured interviews with older Peruvian migrants in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. Abstract This study reviews the green supply chain management (GSCM) literature and proposes a comprehensive view of the structural associations amongst the GSCM factors, viz. drivers, practice indicators and performance measures.
