Consumer behavior with augmented reality in retail: a review and research agenda

Driven by the rapid technological development and adoption of augmented reality (AR) in retail, academic research has grown rapidly. Our purpose is to understand the reasons why consumers use augmented reality in retail and what outcomes retailers can expect. This study presents a systematic literature review and summarizes the current empirical knowledge on consumer behavior with AR in retail. This theoretical paper analyzes the influence of ethnology on contemporary research in consumer and shopper behavior and in retailing. Internet banking adoption among mature customers: early majority or laggards?

Finland is a world leader in electronic banking, and over 39.8 percent of all retail banking transactions were made over the Internet in August 2000. Using the data of a large survey, we analyzed mature customers’ Internet banking behavior. Internet banking was the third popular mode of payment among mature customers. Household income and education were found to have a significant effect on the adoption of the Internet as a banking channel, so that over 30 percent of wealthy and well‐educated mature males make e‐banking their primary mode of making payments. Eco depletion: The impact of hunger on prosociality by means of environmentally friendly attitudes and behavior

Abstract The present research investigated the impact of hunger on prosociality in a consumer choice context by means of environmentally friendly attitudes and behavior. Two eye-tracking studies were conducted with hunger measured (Study 1) and manipulated (Study 2). The data were analyzed through bivariate correlations, Pearson's chi-square tests, and analyses of variance (ANOVAs). The effect of personal involvement on the decision to buy store brands

Store brands are appearing in an ever‐increasing number of categories and their acceptance by consumers is unquestionable. The purpose of this paper is to model the decision process involved in a purchase which the consumer goes through when choosing store brands over national brands. The model provided allows us to explain why the same consumer may choose a store brand in one product category and not in another. Antecedents and implications of search engine use as prepurchase information tools

The aim of this research is to analyse the antecedents and implications of using search engines as prepurchase information tools. The impact of internet use experience, internet shopping experience and online shopping motivations on the use of information provided by search engines in online purchases is analysed together with attitudinal changes deriving from search engine use (online purchase intention). Effect of price increases on future intentions of sport consumers

2014

This work analyzes the relationships between perceived value, satisfaction and future intentions among users of a public sport service who experience a price increase in the service they receive. A self-administered survey provides data from two samples (before and after the service price increase). After confirming the reliability and validity of the measures, hierarchical multiple regression provides the means for analyzing the data. The results show that the increase in the service price worsens the perception of service performance. Predicting future intentions of basketball spectators using SEM and fsQCA

This study analyzes relationships among service quality, perceived value, satisfaction, emotions, and future intentions of spectators of a professional basketball competition using a sample of 429 basketball spectators of a premier division in Spain. The results from structural equation modeling support the hypotheses, except for the effect of emotions and match result on future intentions. The results from fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) with the same data set show that none of the variables are necessary conditions for positive future intentions of spectators.
