Väitöstutkimuksessani tarkastelen broilerikanojen kuvauksia vuosina 1969–2019 julkaistuissa suomenkielisissä romaaneissa, novelleissa ja sarjakuvissa. Kysyn, miten broilerintuotantoa ja siinä eläviä kanoja sekä kuolleita broilereita kuvataan suomenkielisessä kirjallisuudessa. Tutkimukseni tavoitteena on tuottaa tietoa broilereista kirjallisuudessa ja kehittää välineitä tuotantoeläinten ja teollisen eläintuotannon tutkimiseen kirjallisuudentutkimuksen alueella. In the year 1903 Manuel de Montoliu published the first Catalan version, in prose and poetry, of "La Vida Nova", which meant an important stage within the history of pre-Raphaelitism and modernism in Catalonia. In this article the first Dantesque influences in the poetic production of the translator will be detected, the stage of preparation and of presentation of the text will be analysed and, finally, the article will study the progressions that the exegesis of Dante's work determines in Montoliu's thought. The novel Wojciechowym szlakiem [On the Trail of St Adalbert] by Gertura Skotnicka stands out from other hagiographic works about this saint not only in terms of its size, but also as far as its composition and method of presenting this character are concerned. In contrast, the works by Ewa Skarżyńska and Andrzej Hartliński do not go beyond the established genre formula. Only Anna Czerwińska-Rydel uses an original idea, implementing in her story the motif of the Gniezno Doors.
