Objective— Liver X receptors (LXRs) modulate cholesterol and fatty acid homeostasis as well as inflammation. This study aims to decipher the role of LXRs in the regulation of polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) synthesis in macrophages in the context of atherosclerosis. Approach and Results— Transcriptomic analysis in human monocytes and macrophages was used to identify putative LXR target genes among enzymes involved in PUFA biosynthesis. In parallel, the consequences of LXR activation or LXR invalidation on PUFA synthesis and distribution were determined. Abstract Genetic code expansion (GCE) is a versatile tool to site‐specifically incorporate a noncanonical amino acid (ncAA) into a protein, for example, to perform fluorescent labeling inside living cells. To this end, an orthogonal aminoacyl‐tRNA‐synthetase/tRNA (RS/tRNA) pair is used to insert the ncAA in response to an amber stop codon in the protein of interest. One of the drawbacks of this system is that, in order to achieve maximum efficiency, high levels of the orthogonal tRNA are required, and this could interfere with host cell functionality. Management of Microbiological Quality of Meat in the Context of Rapid Tenderization

Abstract This paper focuses on the study of the microbiological load of pork and beef meat, in the context of utilising fast methods of tenderizing them. The study highlights, through both classic and fast methods, the microbial load of fresh, salted and smoked pork and beef meat. It has been established that fresh pork is at around 7,2x104-8,5x104CFU/g, whereas fresh beef sits at around 2,3x103 CFU/g. For salted, smoked and classically tenderized, these values are between 3,3x104 CFU/g and 4,7x104CFU/g for pork and 6,1x102 CFU/g for beef. El objetivo del presente trabajo es determinar el papel del Colegio de Psicólogos como editor de revistas de psicología de impacto. Se seleccionaron 17 revistas indexadas simultáneamente en las bases JCR y SJR de 2018. This paper explores and describes the experiences of patients, family members, and professionals with the Open Dialogue approach to network meetings at a locked psychiatric hospital unit in Norway. Previous research on Open Dialogue has mostly focused on acute crises in community care contexts. In this article, we discuss the participants’ experiences with Open Dialogue in a new context; that is in an inpatient locked unit. Myotonic dystrophy involves two types of chronically debilitating rare neuromuscular diseases: type 1 (DM1) and type 2 (DM2). Both share similarities in molecular cause, clinical signs, and symptoms with DM2 patients usually displaying milder phenotypes. It is well documented that key clinical symptoms in DM are associated with a strong mis-regulation of RNA metabolism observed in patient’s cells.
