The School Programme: A Key Link between Contextual Influence and School Development

ABSTRACTThis paper is designed to contribute to the discussion on how to conceptualise and study contextual influence in local school development. We propose a theoretical framework and an empirical illustration to supplement former research on rural school research. This article provides an overview of the recently proposed forward model approximation framework for learning games of the general video game artificial intelligence (GVGAI) framework. In contrast to other general game-playing algorithms, the proposed agent model does not need a full description of the game but can learn the game's rules by observing game state transitions. Based on hierarchical knowledge bases, the forward model can be learned and revised during game-play, improving the accuracy of the agent's state predictions over time. Determinants to the Use of Business Process Modeling

This article addresses a theoretical gap in the BPM literature on factors that influence the acceptance of process modeling (PM) in organizations. Literature review on PM and 34 qualitative interviews were combined into a PM acceptance model and empirically tested with data from 74 companies showing that PM is to a large extent a mandated activity, explaining the missing link between PM attitudes on PM intention. The study extends the TAM and the TPB to the context of process modeling and demonstrates that less studied socio-political factors in addition to awareness of PM are important to understand PM acceptance. Tool Support for Model Driven Development of Pervasive Systems

This work presents the PervML Generative Tool (PervGT) that supports a model driven method for the development of pervasive services in ubiquitous environments. The tool, which is based on the Eclipse platform, provides facilities for the graphical description of pervasive systems using PervML, a UML-like modeling language. Once the pervasive system is specified, the PervML model is used as input to a transformation engine that generates source code and other implementation assets. Understanding how humans judge perceived speech quality while interacting through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications in real-time is essential to build a robust and accurate speech quality prediction model. Speech quality is degraded in the presence of background noise reducing the Quality of Experience (QoE). Speech Enhancement (SE) algorithms can improve speech quality in noisy environments.
