MOJAVE. XIII. New 15GHz observations on 1994-2013

We present 1625 new 15GHz (2cm) VLBA images of 295 jets associated with active galactic nuclei (AGNs) from the MOJAVE and 2cm VLBA surveys, spanning observations between 1994 August 31 and 2013 August 20. For 274 AGNs with at least 5 VLBA epochs, we have analyzed the kinematics of 961 individual bright features in their parsec-scale jets. A total of 122 of these jets have not been previously analyzed by the MOJAVE program. In the case of 451 jet features that had at least 10 epochs, we also examined their kinematics for possible accelerations. Radio-optical scrutiny of compact AGN

We study the correlations between the VLBA (Very Long Baseline Array) radio emission at 15GHz, extended emission at 151MHz, and optical nuclear emission at 5100{AA} for a complete sample of 135 compact jets. We use the partial Kendall's tau correlation analysis to check the link between radio properties of parsec-scale jets and optical nuclear luminosities of host active galactic nuclei (AGN). The work describes anatomical analysis of the wood from a relict Pinus sylvestris L. performed to determine its characteristics. Transverse ca. 20 μm thick sections were prepared with a core-microtome and observed in bright-field microscopy. Observations of tangential sections were performed in epi-fluorescence. The xylem of the relict pine showed many narrow growth rings. The occurrence of i.a. discontinuous tree rings, light rings and intraannual density fluctuations was stated. Quantitative Runge Approximation and Inverse Problems

In this short note we provide a quantitative version of the classical Runge approximation property for second order elliptic operators. This relies on quantitative unique continuation results and duality arguments. We show that these estimates are essentially optimal. As a model application we provide a new proof of the result from \cite{F07}, \cite{AK12} on stability for the Calder\'on problem with local data.

The article examines what students tell us about their learning in the context of student-centered feedback practices in higher education during online learning.

Celem niniejszego tekstu jest udowodnienie, że art. 6 ust. 1 jest przepisem wskazującym na szczegółową dziedzinę, w której zastosowanie ma zasada równości wyrażona w treści art. 32 i 33 Konstytucji RP. Aby tego dowieźć, wyjaśniono, jak równość odnosi się do zakresu podmiotów uprawnionych do tego, aby im upowszechniać i udostępniać dobra kultury narodowej. The purpose of this study is to investigate personal, health, work, and work-related psychological factors in association with employee intentions of early retirement and continuing to work after retirement in the form of bridge employment. In addition, the study aims to further our understanding of what motivates older employees by investigating age-related differences in employee reward preferences.
