Fault diagnosis of induction motors broken rotor bars by pattern recognition based on noise cancelation

Current signal monitoring (CSM) can be used as an effective tool for diagnosing broken rotor bars fault in induction motors. In this paper, fault diagnosis and classification based on artificial neural networks (ANNs) is done in two stages. In the first stage, a filter is designed to remove irrelevant fault components (such as noise) of current signals. The coefficients of the filter are obtained by least square (LS) algorithm. Then by extracting suitable time domain features from filter's output, a neural network is trained for fault classification. Considerable feedstocks for electricity generation are process-based residues. Ukraine is the world leader in sunflower seed production, therefore, husk (a by-product of oil production) is a promising biofuel for combustion- based power plants. The plants consume primarily electricity and fossil fuels (natural gas or fuel oil) for steam production. Their usage affects the edible oil production cost and impacts on climate change. CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance) is actually the most used method in ad-hoc networks for transmitting on a contending medium, even if it shows poor performance in presence of hidden nodes. To increase performance, we propose an algorithm that combines CSMA and TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) approaches. The adopted solution consists of grouping contending nodes in non-interfering subsets and granting a different numbers of time slots to different groups, while using the CSMA to manage medium access among nodes belonging to the same subset. This article analyses how specific nodal points of performative control developed and consequently structured the discourse on Aotearoa New Zealand’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It identifies these points by adopting a rhetorical-performative approach to uncover three particular performances of control that articulated the pandemic in Aotearoa New Zealand, from the diagnosis of the first COVID-19 case in the country in February 2020 through to October 2020.
