This study investigated the use of a playful, narrative, vignette-based method, called Story Magician’s Play Time (SMPT), in supporting children’s social-emotional reasoning and in helping children practice their social skills. On the Stability of the Soft Pendulum With Affine Curvature: Open-Loop, Collocated Closed-Loop, and Switching Control

This letter investigates the stability properties of the soft inverted pendulum with affine curvature - a template model for nonlinear control of underactuated soft robots. We look at how changes in physical parameters affect stability and equilibrium. We give conditions under which zero dynamics corresponding to a collocated choice of the output is (locally or globally) stable or unstable. We leverage these results to design a switching controller that stabilizes a class of nonlinear equilibria of the pendulum, which can drive the system from one equilibrium to another.

Self-regulated learning, self-efficacy beliefs and performance during the late childhood

This article analyzes relations between self-regulated learning, self-efficacy beliefs, and performance in tasks of solving arithmetic problems. The research includes 268 six-year-old students enrolled in the first year of primary school in Spain. The results from binary logistic regression models indicate that self-regulated learning and its interaction with self-efficacy beliefs predict performance. Najstarszą i najdłużej działająca instytucją kontrolującą media w komunistycznej Polsce była cenzura wojskowa powstała pod koniec II wojny światowej. Służba ta zorganizowana była na wzór cenzury sowieckiej i pod kierownictwem oficerów sowieckiego wywiadu wojskowego – GRU. Cenzorzy wojskowy kontrolowali oprócz wydawnictw wojskowych również media cywilne. Specjalny Wydział Wojskowy funkcjonujący w strukturach cywilnej cenzury – Główny Urząd Kontroli Prasy, Publikacji i Widowisk, odpowiadał za ochronę tajemnicy wojskowej i szkolenie cenzorów cywilnych w zakresie obronności.
