Episteemisyyden eli tietoon pääsyn tutkiminen luokkahuonevuorovaikutuksessa on kasvattanut suosiotaan keskustelunanalyyttisessa tutkimuksessa viime vuosina. In classroom settings, laughter and smiles are resources for action that are available to both teachers and students. Recent interactional studies have documented how students use these resources to deal with trouble of various kind, but less is known about the sequential and activity contexts of teachers’ laughter-relevant practices, as well as their pedagogical functions. Immediacy and distance in teacher talk—A comparative case study in German elementary- and outdoor school-teaching

This case study examines authentic speech acts by a German primary school teacher in the classroom context and the outdoor learning location of a forest. The study will compare the degree of linguistic immediacy or distance in these two contexts, respectively. Once a week, the class is doing “outdoor school” [Draußenschule] in places of natural or cultural interest near to their school. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on lisätä tietoa poliittisissa haastatteluissa tapahtuvista haastattelijan tekemistä keskeytyksistä. Keskeytyksiä analysoidaan keskusteluanalyysin keinoin ja aineistona on kolme televisiohaastattelua. Haastattelut on litteroitu ja tutkimuksessani esittelen esimerkit niissä esiintyneistä keskeytystyypeistä. The aim of the study is to examine interruptions made by interviewers in political television interviews. Interruptions are analyzed using conversation analysis and the data consists of three interview videos.

This study employs sequential conversation analysis and membership categorization analysis to codeswitching multiethnic, multicultural and multilingual Japanese-English speakers.
