Ņemot vērā vietējo energoresursu trūkumu, ES ir bijusi enerģijas importētājas pozīcijā jau kopš tās dibināšanas. Lai gan energoapgādes drošība galvenokārt ir bijusi ES darba kārtībā, tikai nesen ir veikti stingri drošības pasākumi. Konflikts starp Ukrainu un Krieviju sākās 2013. gadā un parāda, cik steidzama un stingra rīcība ir nepieciešama, lai tiktu nodrošināta droša energoapgāde. Maģistra darbā apskatītas ES un Kazahstānas divpusējās attiecības, uzsverot attiecību virzitājmotīvus un veicinošos apstākļus. Darba autore secina, ka sadarbība ar ES Kazahstānai ir kā iespēja paaugstināt tās ekonomisko modernizāciju un palielināt tās politisko leģitimitāti pasaules politikā, kas ļoti labi atbilst Kazahstānas daudzvirzienu politiskajam diskursam. Background and Aims Small-bowel varices (SBVs) are an uncommon consequence of portal hypertension. Radiologic intervention is usually considered for first-line management. When radiologic intervention is not possible, management options become very limited. The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of double-balloon enteroscopy (DBE)-facilitated cyanoacrylate-injection endotherapy of SBVs. Methods This was a retrospective review of DBE-facilitated cyanoacrylate-injection endotherapy of SBVs (December 2015 to October 2016). BackgroundLymnaeid snails transmit medical and veterinary important trematodiases, mainly fascioliasis. Vector specificity of fasciolid parasites defines disease distribution and characteristics. Different lymnaeid species appear linked to different transmission and epidemiological patterns. Pronounced susceptibility differences to absolute resistance have been described among lymnaeid populations. When assessing disease characteristics in different endemic areas, unexpected results were obtained in studies on lymnaeid susceptibility to Fasciola. Introducing the Study of Nordic Cooperation

To rediscover Nordic cooperation this article develops a ‘conceptual grammar’ that provides general theoretical ‘images’ of cooperation that are systematically applied. Being supplementary analytical constructs, moreover, these images capture great variety and differentiation in Nordic cooperation. Next, this article provides a review of two sets of literature that are of particular relevance to this thematic issue. The first is a broader literature on European integration. The second is studies of Nordic cooperation. The article closes with an overview of the contributions to this thematic issue.
