Coping strategies and locus of control in childhood leukemia: a multi-center research

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a very distressing experience for children and requires a special effort of adjustment. Therefore, it seems to be crucial to explore coping resources for the experienced risk condition. In this sense, the study focuses on coping strategies and locus of control in children with ALL during the treatment phase, and on their possible relation. The correlation between children and maternal coping strategies is also investigated. Calculation of chromatographic parameters by molecular topology: sulphamides

This investigation was undertaken to test the ability of the molecular connectivity model to predict RF values in thin-layer chromatography (TLC) for a group of sulphamides using multi-variable regression equations with multiple correlation coefficients, standard error of estimate, F-Snedecor function values and Student's t-test as criteria of fit. In this study, the potential for correlation between disintegration and dissolution performance of enteric-coated (EC) dosage forms was investigated. Different enteric hard shell capsule formulations containing caffeine as model drug were tested for disintegration (in a compendial disintegration tester) and for dissolution in both USP type I (basket) and type II (paddle) apparatuses using different media. Overall, good correlations were obtained. Abstract The relationship between gas-liquid chromatographic (GLC) retention properties and R F values in thin-layer chromatography (TLC) with molecular connectivity indices, m X t , was investigated for a series of benzodiazepines using multiple correlation coefficients, standard errors of estimate, F -Snedecor function values and Student's t -test as the criteria for best equation selection. A Coherent derivation of an average ion model including the evolution of correlations between different shells

We propose in this short note a method enabling to write in a systematic way a set of refined equations for average ion models in which correlations between populations are taken into account, starting from a microscopic model for the evolution of the electronic configura- tion probabilities. Numerical simulations illustrating the improvements with respect to standard average ion models are presented at the end of the paper.
